Homewood Suites by Hilton Orlando-Nearest to Universal Studios

I loved how spacious the dining area and suites were. The color palette was fresh and calm and everything was very clean. The staff was very friendly and provided excellent service. We didn't use the pool area, but it is lovely. I enjoyed the gym. Can't beat free parking, free breakfast, and free shuttles. Our shuttle rides were only 20 minutes long to the parks, stopping at 2-3 other hotels. The universal resorts are literally right next to these partner hotels and these are a better value, in my opinion. Room perks include a ceiling fan, nightlight and smart TVs for streaming.

The only change I would make is to put a door on the bathroom area in case you need to use the sink and mirror while other people are sleeping and there was no fan.

Huge rooms, good shuttle bus and excellent choice at reception.

We had an issue with ants in our room but we are satisfied with how it was handled.

Our stay was great, the hotel is very clean, the rooms are very comfortable, it’s just 7-8 min to the parks, breakfast was great, many restaurants and stores near by.

The only thing I could point is that one of the elevators broke Friday afternoon, and it was not repaired until Monday. There’s another elevator on the other end of building. Not a big deal but uncomfortable.

Location was brilliant for universal parks. Very quiet and safe.

The cleanliness needs improving. One day our room was not cleaned at all and when we went to speak to reception about this they didn’t apologise for the inconvenience. When the room was cleaned, it looked like it had been rushed and there was still some obvious dirt marks around the sink and bath. Toilet roll was not always restocked so you had to ring down to reception to get some sent up. The staff were unfriendly and rude. They did not acknowledge you when you passed reception and when we checked in the staffs’ attitude was very poor. There has been a drastic change since we last stayed at this hotel.
