Great option in the city. Clean, modern, and easy. Affordable too, and nice staff!

The location was great, very accessible and nearby to SO much of NYC. The city is spread out so no matter where you stay you'll need to rely on the trains but we were very close to multiple stops, and it was incredibly easy to access the rest of the city from the hotel. We chose this location so that we were able to walk to a concert at Madison Square Garden, which is only about 10-12 minutes walk away. The shared bathrooms were better/cleaner than I expected. I didn't feel the need to wear shower shoes. And they were almost never in use when I'd need to use them so it was very convenient. They also had plenty of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash built into the showers.

The noise from the street was VERY loud, but I read reviews and knew that in advance, so I came with earplugs that helped me sleep. We also brought a travel noise machine which helped, but I still needed the ear plugs. I also don't understand why not a single one of the shared bathrooms had hand soap in them to wash your hands. And the rooms had nowhere to hang your wet towels, at all. So I struggled to keep a towel dry in order to reuse it each day. And while the bathrooms were mostly clean, I did notice the same long dark hairs all over the floor every day when I'd go in to shower, which made getting out of the shower a little yucky.

Close to important sites in Manhatan. Shared bathrooms were always vacant and clean. Sound isolation from the streets is challenging in Manhatan

Rooms were small, pictures online are misleading. I also was not aware the bathrooms were shared.
