There was tons of character and a really neat vibe to the entire space. If you love history then this is the place for you.
The Inn is definitely missing several amenities you would find at other chain hotels. Price was a little higher than expected for what you actually get. Building is dated and needs a bit of a refresh. Jail cell rooms totally uncomfortable but that was my specific choice.

The room was interesting to be in and I liked that an extension cord was provided. The staff was incredibly nice and the 3-7pm checkin time worked perfectly for us.

The location was excellent. Easy walk to the beach and restaurants.
The Inn is very tired and dated both inside and out. The bathroom needed a serious reno - the shower floor was covered in a bad patch job to try and hide scratches. One-ply toilet paper was horrible and no kleenex provided. The bed was very uncomfortable and in desperate need of a new mattress. Sheets and bedding were very cheap as were the pillows - please get some new pillows!

No reception. You need to call when you arrive. They will charge you extra if you arrive after 7pm.

Vanessa was so helpful and nice to deal with. All staff we met were friendly and obliging. We hope to go back again next year. We found it very comfortable and homey.

Decor was horrendous. Carpet has sticky spots we had to put towels over.

Marvelous refit of charming classic house/Coburg jail into delightful boutique hotel. Five minutes to downtown, good restaurants, lakeshore, marina and great beach.
Minimal extra service but that is OK

We appreciated the history of the Inn and that the historic signs are displayed in the courtyard. The museum in the basement could be improved. We liked the room decor and very good comfort of the bed. A better coffee maker and quality of coffee in the room would have met our expectations of the price point. Excellent location! Everything is walkable including VIA rail station.

Beautiful outside, needs more work inside, I had dirty hand towels in my bathroom, need more garbage cans in bedroom, found stuff in my room which shouldn’t of been there, dirty mattress, not impressed

The inn manager was very helpful in finding the right room for us. She was also helpful to accommodate our early check in request.

Interesting historical hotel located downtown. Nicely renovated and decorated. The bed and room are comfortable and quiet.
Unfortunately we had a problem on arrival. We had agreed to be there mid afternoon but no one was there. We rang the bell,it was not working, we knocked. Finally we phoned. This took some time while we waited in the cold and wet at the door. Otherwise we would definitely stay there again.

Good location to lake front and downtown. Room very clean.
No elevator. Too many stairs. We were assigned a room on the top floor at the back of the building. Extremely difficult (especially for seniors) to transport luggage to designated room. No offer for assistance.
Room had no comfortable seating—- only 2 small straight backed chairs (iron grated backs).
