The cabin was comfortable and the location was beautiful. The receptionist (Jennifer) bent over backwards to make our weekend stay perfect!! We can’t wait to return!!

Plenty to do right on/at the property
Wifi in the cottage was spotty, which is fine if you don't want or need it.

Great location, beautiful views, great access to snowmobile trails

Quiet, clean and everything was well maintained even in harsh snowy weather. Above all it's a dog friendly place! My dog had wonderful time with us.
It would've been better if there was a kettle in my cottage.

Breakfast and dinner at this location was amazing. We drove to Huntsville for dinner one night and we’re disappointed in the food and prices. The food at Trillium was top notch, as was the service, and less expensive than in town.
The ambiance in the dining room is perfect
No complaints

The thing that struck me was the quiet! EXQUISITE! We could hear the birds chatter..wow!!
Our camp was so cute with a wonderful gas fire place. My husband enjoyed the sauna while I walked about snapping photos of nature's beauty.
We haven't played board games in years but found ourself playing, don't laugh ..snakes and ladders. That's another story
Totally recommend this place!
Hmmm..nothing

-The resort does provide some fun activities to do
-The view is quite good
-How could a hotel ever charge extra $380 for two extra guests?!! Me and my girlfriend booked a chalet that is for up to 4 person and has two bedrooms. Two of my friends wanted to join us but we were asked to pay extra 380 (the original room rate for the chalet is 380) at the front desk. That’s just unacceptable! I called the Booking.com and eventually paid extra 200. The room provided nothing more than two towels for two guests extra.
-Because of short stuff, we waited at the lobby til 4:30 to check in, which I had to cancel some of our plan.
-Saw multiple flies and cockroaches in the room.

Cute Property, Staff were friendly and food was very good at dinner. Breakfast was pretty good as well (Buffet). We didnt stay long enough to enjoy the waterfront but they have paddle boards and kayaks to use etc that seemed nice
The buildings are rather dated. Some of the wood outside is starting to rot a little bit so it seems maintenance isn't perhaps top of mind. Inside the fixtures are ok, but again some things quite dated. For the price charged I would have expected something more than the rustic cabin feel with 80's furniture.

I highly recommend this place, so serene, very private. If you want a totally relaxing getaway, Trillium Resort and Spa is the place to be! Free canoes provided if you want to venture the water, pet friendly with blankets and treats provided to our fur baby and if you're lucky like us, we got upgraded! We're so appreciative of that! Staff are the nicest, keep up the good work guys! We will be back in the fall.
Nothing bad to say, awesome escape!

Wonderful location and great facilities. Enjoyed dinner in the restaurant. Cosy lodge with everything you need. Friendly staff.
Trails between seasons and not really cleared for summer - not bikeable. Don't forget the bug spray! A guest laundry facility would be great.

Fantastic location and staff, amenities, games, and other things available were great as well.
Low staff on facilities, a bit on the pricy side, uncomfortable beds

Nice location near huntsville
Changed our reservations without asking
Had to send my son home as there was no where for him to stay.
Ruined our plans for the weekend
Put us in a cabin we didn’t ask for and called it a upgrade
Price was way to high for what we received
Wifi did not work in cabin at all
Staff was not what I expect for a place like this.
Second time we had bad experience but will be last time

Location cleaness staff Main lodge design
We stayed in a challe that we need to walk to reach the route was very slippery dangerous and icy.

It was clean and quiet and the staff accommodated a last minute request. Gorgeous property in any season.
The dinner was good but not great, and for the price, it should have been great. We picked out three strands of hair too, which is gross anytime, but especially barf-worthy during a pandemic. Risotto undercooked and a little bland. but the delivery person was very cheerful and the food was pretty good, with lovely presentation. We still left a very good tip because we are just grateful for those still willing to work right now. Upon checkout, the staff person was loudly blowing her nose and then did not put her mask back on when I had to approach the counter to pay. Super stressful.

no one on desk after 5, real dark everywhere, no light on trails, paths or road, had to find chalet up a huge steep hill with access only by trail. no meals included, had a reservation only restaurant that closes at 8:30, no information on contacting kitchen, chalet was cold, chalet was nice. Terrible experience, and no food companies deliver there either.
the chalet was nice and view through the trees was nice too.

The location and privacy of the lake was exceptional. There are a lot of amenities to enjoy whether indoors or out. Plenty of room to enjoy private time at the chalet and also plenty of options to enjoy the outdoors. Overall a great experience.
The administration between the front desk and guest services really needs a look at. Front desk staff really need to be more upbeat and engaging. Put a happy face on and great people with genuine warmth, a smile, and treat people like you own the place and are truly happy they have chosen your resort. When you hand the bill over to the client take the time to explain the bill and any charges clearly. We ended up determining we were charged taxes on the room, which was already paid for through booking.com, and on the restaurant bill twice so I'm glad we looked at the bill before just paying and leaving. Lastly, after booking on booking.com we were told we couldn't have the time we booked and that we would be moved to a cottage on our third day. Then we were told if we didn't like that we should cancel the entire booking, then either the resort or booking.com did cancel our entire reservation without talking to us at all. After complaining about this with the resort and booking.com we were then placed back in a chalet and were told on the phone they would resolve this with us at the resort. On my birthday we went to the restaurant and although we were being served by the guest services manager (GSM) she never once mentioned how the resort was planning to work the booking process issues out with us. We left the restaurant after dinner without a word said and the GSM walking by us at least 3 times, with ample time to address the elephant in the room, and I told my wife I was going to say something. Once we brought it up the GSM she was apologetic and did take steps to make us happy. One thing I found that bothered me was that the issue could have been brought up to us during check-in and resolved right then and not left until our third day causing us to have this issue in the back of our minds the entire time at the resort. The GSM is very nice so no offense taken. Just could have been handled proactively.

Properties have the best fall colours I even experienced. We enjoyed the canoeing on the lake and hiking on the two trails.

A little TOO rustic for us. Room smelled musty. Entrance unkempt, peeling paint. Bed was comfortable.
Beach and view across lake was lovely. Lobby and main building were nice.

Spa services were wonderful! Jill is awesome 👌
I'm a vegetarian and they were able to accommodate meals for me. Also pet friendly is a plus! My fury baby is also a service dog and I don't travel without him. We will be booking again.
More menu options would be great but the food was still good.

This place is so beautiful. We only were able to stay one night, but I wish it would have been longer! There is a lovely little beach with kayaks, canoes, paddle boards. Lots of little areas to relax in. There is a tennis court up in the woods. The cabins were comfortable. The restaurant at the lodge is beautiful. We can’t wait to come back!
Absolutely nothing!

We had a great time at the resort, hiking, canoeing and relaxing at the beach. The cabin was clean, cozy and the king size bed was very comfortable. We didn't use the gas fireplace but would have if the weather had been cooler. Port Sydney is a short drive and has a few places to eat, the general store has take out, Huntsville and Bracebridge are about a 25min drive.
The food was disappointing (sigh). As a vegetarian I only had one choice, peppers stuffed with rice which came with a side of rice, 2 sticks of carrots and a green bean. My husband had the prime rib, after trimming the fat the portion of meat was pretty small, the Yorkshire pudding was dry and although the mashed potatoes were good there was only a tiny scoop. (Including 2 beers and desert it cost around $100, we did not have the meal package).

Peaceful and quiet - just what I was looking for.

Beautiful property with lots to do. Great for a relaxing romantic weekend. Made use of canoes, swam in warm lake, played outdoor games (horseshoe, canjam, bocce), played board games, and utilized DVD lending. 25 minute drive to downtown Huntsville for some shopping and more dining options.
Ate one dinner at the restaurant-- apps were good but mains didn't meet expectations, especially given the price. Visited July long weekend and there were lots of mosquitos.
