bedding , no kettle or suitable cups to make tea/ coffee as advertised

Smoke detector broken in the middle of the night. Could not sleep anymore. Called the receptionist and they said they could fix it only the next day. So I could not sleep. The hotel charged me two deposits ($150 instead of $50) by mistake. Nobody even apologized. The biggest thing is this that I have not received any invoice although I made sure many times that it would be possible (upon checking in or even before I arrived). They said it would not be any problem to issue the invoice. But at the end it turned out to be impossible for them (sic!). Nobody even apologized. It was the first time in my life that the hotel was not able to provide the invoice or even a simple confirmation of stay. This is really a big thing for me as this trip was my business trip and I need the invoice. This is completely unacceptable for me.

The rooms, the hotel overall!

- someone from staff knocked at my door at 3 am to say there was a problem with my reservation, said that I need to head back to reception but offered to bring me another key. I just guessed if it wasn’t something who could wait until next morning.

The location was EVERYTHING!!!

Upon check in, the room was dirty, especially the bathroom. I didn’t in until 3am, so there was no excuse for the room and bathroom to be dirty. The chair was filled with crumbs. I cleaned the room myself, I was tired and didn’t feel like waiting for someone else to do it. I informed human resource and he apologized. That doesn’t compensate for the room being filthy.

The check in took very long. We waited for half an hour to check in. The staff did not seem to care about their job, their customers and we're REALLY slow. One receptionist left her desk when there were about 6 customers left in the check in line. The room had a weird smell. The linens were stained.

Location, pools, and room was clean.

I saw a live Cockroach in my room which I killed.
