The window for breakfast was somewhat small.

Rural, but close to the town, landscaped, good parking, well maintained

Nothing didn’t like

It was a great variety however my boiled eggs were black inside. That being said once I pointed them out, they immediately boiled 2 new fresh ones. Also my husband got the last chocolate pastry around 8:15. When I asked if any more they said they would make more. When we went to check out they had set 2 aside😊which was very much appreciated.

For the price we paid I did not expect to be sitting on our patio looking at the parking lot as no pictures on the web showed this. A fan in the washroom would have been nice as well. We were going to be charged an additional 3% for paying on our MasterCard, yet when we booked July 5th there was nothing on our reservation that stated it. My husband instead had to use his debit card which had not been planned. When given a copy of the bill, the woman who checked us in underlined that info. I showed her our reservation confirmation and it was not on there.

The property is beautiful and well maintained. The rooms are newly renovated and very nice - fireplace, stocked mini fridge at good prices, couch and desk area. The breakfast had a great selection!

Fabulous continental breakfast. Lots of fresh fruit, and lovely variety of baked goods, yogurt, cereals, toast etc. Lovely dining area.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, room was large and clean with a nice patio and view of the river, breakfast was lovely.

We found the bed too firm and the couch not very comfortable. We like a very soft bed so it may be fine for most people.

Very clean, well maintained. No complaints about the actual room. The room was lovely with a fireplace. They upgraded us to a river view without even being asked. We really appreciated that.

There wasn’t an option to call the front desk from the room phone. We had an actual key for the room instead of a card. It wasn’t a big deal, this part just lacked a bit of the modern touch but we were ok with it.

i personally love the ambiance and location of the property. being close to town and yet set back enough to have a private getaway. then you add the historic importance of the building it is truly something special.

Even though I loved the overall setting, if I was to be extra picky, I wish the rooms were less modern and more a cottage setting. love the fire place, just the overall setting and aesthetic could more warm and cozy. But that’s just me being picky.
