This motel is a dump. We were on the 3rd floor. The bed was comfortable & the bathroom was clean, yet that is all the positive I can give about the room. The furniture is dated & in very poor condition. The dresser & night stand drawers had a bad smell, so we kept our clothes in the suitcase. The carpet is absolutely disgusting! We wore flip flops the entire time. It was just very unpleasant to stay here. The location is wonderful with a great market across the street and convenient access to beaches & attractions. The grounds are decent & the pool area looks nice. We didn't use it though. The desk clerk had a very hard time finding our reservation with Booking.com. We also thought we prepaid for the room when we booked to get the cheapest rate, yet that wasn't the case. They also charged us $1.50 a day for the use of the room safe (old & rusty!) which we did not use & said they would refund the fee. We are still waiting for that to happen.

At first we thought the property was okay but on the morning before we checked out we saw multiple little roaches crawling on the carpet and wall near the bed frame

Everything- it wasn’t clean the room smelled I was bit by a bug after just a few minutes in the room. I could not stay there had to book a different hotel.

Dried vomit on stairs. Paint chipped everywhere on the walkway balconies. No glasses or even paper or plastic cups in the room. Air conditioner extremely noisy.

The staff was exceptional. We did have to change rooms because the first was unacceptable.lots of issues but the second room was great.

The staff puts all there carts on the wall by the elevator. For seniors it's almost impossible to get by it with your stuff. So that was a pain. It says there is breakfast but it a sack with stuff in it. Covid is pretty much over so that wa she excuse.

Room was old and smelly with bit up furniture. They advertise breakfast and all the have is a bag to got with a little bottle of juice and a Danish. Property is not well maintained.

one of our towels was dirty and the carpets were a little outdated. also had a pigeon problem. two were always hanging around the stairs and top floor!

Convenient, clean room, good bed & pillows. Good value at the late hour.

Hello, I had a good time in Encinitas. With regard to my stay, the room was acceptable but the door security very much in need of repair. The inside clasp flip lock pulls out of the door jam. Additionally, there is a lot of play in the door when it’s closed. I could see how someone wanting to gain access from the outside could slip a plastic card in toward the lock to dislodge it from the jam. This is an insecure door, rm 126.
