The Hollywood Roosevelt

Pretty much everything - swimming pool, cabana rooms, concierge and valet parking service, restaurant staff.

Great location. Central to Hollywood. Fabulous history. Staff were friendly.

Room was not ready even though we arrived an hour after check in. Others were also complaining. Had pre paid for a drinks offer and although we pre-checked with Reception about using it the package at the bar whilst waiting for room, the bar could not clear it. So it was awkward and a bit disapointing. Also had late night cocktails but waited so long to get served as they were short staffed, we could not utilise all of the value of the drinks package. We would have liked more coktails but waited too long to be served.

Fantastic location in the heart of Hollywood, but it feels surprisingly peaceful inside. I loved the hotel’s history, the comfortable rooms and the great pool area. The rooms are dark, which is perfect for sleeping.

The poolside cabanas are noisy—you can hear doors, footsteps and conversations. Bring earplugs if you’re staying in one.

Food at the pool bar was good, as were the bartenders. Pool was nice and relaxing.

Room was what I expected; however, the thermostat didn't move despite trying to lower the temperature and therefore was uncomfortably warm. Also, people below were on their patio talking till 5:45 am so I was unable to sleep well. Suggest they put earplugs in the room to help guest
