Pasadena Rose & Crown Hotel

This place was much nicer inside than it looked on the outside. Kind of a boring building outside, but inside was very nicely appointed. And it offered the best free breakfast of our trip. No ordinary muffin and coffee like most. Had a range of food including scrambled eggs, yogurt, fruit, waffles, toast, cereal, etc. We also used their laundry facility. They had dollies to move our luggage around in, too, and an elevator to haul it up to the second floor. Right near Pasadena City College and a Michael's art store right next door.

Older style hotel but everything was clean and up to date. The staff was outstanding, David was very enthusiastic and helpful, I would highly recommend this hotel.

The parking was a little tight but nothing they can do about that.

Location so clean! Big rooms. Solid breakfast. International feel of guests

Proximity to where we needed to be to avoid post Rose Bowl traffic back to LA

Property is at a “Motel 6” level but charging a Hilton price. Great remodel on a $10k shower, but rest of property screams low budget motel. Parking lot lights SO bright and SO many cameras (at least 50?) makes one wonder if booking was a big mistake. Won’t return.
