Location and restaurants and shops on site. Tram ride to top, and hiking trails.
A bit pricey

heating didn’t work correctly - booking was changed by the facility from a king bed to two queen room. they said they had plumbing problems and couldn’t discount the room or move us. they added we would have to get adjustment in rate thru booking.com

Food was amazing everywhere we tried.
Staff very friendly.
Sink clogged from first day and didnt drain properly
Room thermostat wouldn't work and had to open windows to cool the room after being told they don't work well.
TV movie options were all paid only

it smelled great, I liked they left water bottles in the rooms.
it’s a little dated, some of the reception staff was a little
cold.

Perfect location for skiing. The room was very comfortable with all basic amenities, Staff were very friendly, especially the assistant bell captain. There are a couple of options for dinner to suit all budgets.
No transportation to the resort during winter. The only way to get there is taxi or uber or self drive.

The hotel is very nice and the staff are friendly. There is a swimming pool and spa inside the hotel. It is very easy to rent ski equipment and get to the lifts. You don't need to drive anywhere. It is all connected to the hotel.
The information for the cross-country skiing is very limited and it is not easy to find the trails. The staff at the rental could not explain it well either. They need to install an easy-to-see guideline to help you to get to the trail. As it turned out, it was about 15-20 min walk. You need to cross the road and then walk some more. It is not easy to get to, especially with little kids. It has to be clearly explained from the start at the rental office. It was upsetting to lose time and for the kids not to meet their expectations.

pool area was nice.
mold around bathtub.Restaurant Food prices very high.

Beautiful resort with countless fun activities.
The staff were inconsistently informed across different departments and were generally unhappy.

The scenery here is gorgeous!! The lobby is lovely.
WAY overpriced for VERY outdated ( think motel 6 ) room’s. The staff was quite unfriendly. When you check in they neglect to tell you that if after a day of skiing you wish to use the hot tub or pool you have to schedule a time in advance. Hard to know where things are located as there’s zero signage to direct you to where to catch a shuttle, or where to find the restaurants etc. I think a property map would be appreciated for travelers. Parking was 1/4 of a mile away requiring you to walk that distance with your luggage and snow gear. Valet service should have taken care of this, or even a bell hop or 2. If your an overnight guest, you should receive better discounts on offered activities or restaurants, but apparently non guests get to use the facilities for the same price, so no real incentive to stay overnight here at all. The restaurant choice and lack of open bar is disappointing. Ended up going somewhere off property to get a drink. I’ve stayed in resorts in Mexico, Spain, Italy, Canada and all over the United States and this was by far the worst resort I’ve ever stayed in for way more money!!

I purchased the room as a Christmas present for my daughter, her husband, and their three children. They loved the hotel, but it was frustrating that they could not check in until 4:00pm, which is after dark this time of year, and they had to check out by 11:00am. It was a high price to pay for the family to sleep one night.
Cost was VERY high compared to what we have ever paid in the past as Alaska residents. It would have been nice if the family could have checked in a couple of hours earlier, and had been allowed to check out later than 11:00am.

Beautiful location and friendly staff! Restaurants provided tasty meals!
I wish I had paid closer attention and realized that the tram was closed. I might not have stayed there. I felt like the rate was a little high, considering that. there was a family with a child that cried quite a bit next to me. It would be nice if perhaps families or put it closer together and solo adult travelers further away.

lovely setting, awesome food at Forte. brunch and dinner.
first morning we woke up very early to dogs barking on our floor, and the bed was very uncomfortable, seemed like the mattress was very flat and old, or cheap. we requested another pillow and never got it.

overpriced for level of quality

great location.
the early check in fee was ridiculous. they had all kinds of parking blocked off for valet parking only which is problematic if you have mobility issues. it felt like a total corporate money grab. the bathtub barely drained every tv channel was unclear and a little fuzzy. we didn’t get any info about the new pool reservation policy. the front desk gave us wrong info about the 7 gable restaurant said it was open but it wasn’t.

location
The rooms are severely dated, with broken and scratched furnishings. The internet was horrible, as was the television reception. Checkin is 4pm, unlike most other hotels, which is 3pm. Checkout is 11am. We asked for a late checkout, as we paid almost $400 for a substandard room., for a 19-hour stay. The front desk said it'd be $30 for a 12pm checkout. we declined their generous offer. This hotel is like the Overlook Hotel on the outside, and like a Holiday Inn on the inside. probably won't return anytime soon. the sushi restaurant was very good, with excellent service!

Enjoyed the Nordic Spa and had dinner at Seven Glaciers

The location was great.
The place is tired and run down. it is way too expensive for what you get!

swimming pool was a highlight - beautiful space and great water (salt)
price was incredibly high for shoulder season as there was very little going on

nice hotel. great scenery.
we wish the spa had more features. facials, foot massages. etc

The man in front desk wsa very rude
5.0
Hotel room was large and comfortable, bathroom smaller than usual for resort hotel.
Facilities are minimal and well hidden, signage very poor. Trying to find the pool is a real challenge, and the Spa’s location remains a mystery
But worse issue is F&B. Don’t eat on property. And that’s it for faculties in the summer. Hardly a resort
Hotel is old and shows it
Don’t be fooled by internet videos
Over priced. Perhaps better in winter with skiing?
Ok but poor value

Room was clean and comfortable. Saltwater pool was nice. Tram ride to the top of the mountain was pretty cool views were amazing. The Aurora restaraunt has an amazing burger! There buffet breakfast was good too. Would have loved to try the Nordic Spa, but couldn't
see spending so much for only 2 hours of use. We didn't get there til later and it closed at 9pm and we only stayed one night.
Prices have gone up so much since we were here 3 years ago. Patrons who are staying in the resort shouldn't have to pay to ride the tram. Feel like that is part of the reason for visiting the resort. Our safe in the room didn't work and there wasn't a remote control for the TV. They did bring one up when we called about it.
