Love the location and the ambience. Room was comfortable. Although in the garden Grove, if you are on the first floor, the noise of the people walking above you can be a little bothersome.
The woman at the front desk that greeted us who is the general manager, was phenomenal and full of customer service and a welcoming demeanor.
Did not like the effect of the front desk staff after the general manager was there. Did not feel welcome and when we had an issue with maid not cleaning our room, in there was no sense of an apologetic discourse. Very hard to understand and very cold.
This is our second time within a couple months, staying at the hotel. Our first visit had a much higher grade than the second secondary to the noisy room and the affect of staff at our second visit

Liked the location for the town. Easy walk to shops and cafes. Convenient to the shuttle bus (stop right outside). The lobby and main building are comfortable and we enjoyed the wraparound porch
Our room was very dated in decor and furnishings. The grounds were also unkempt with a torn tent at a picnic bench right outside our bedroom window.
Not the property's fault, but I expected better access and views of the ocean.

Location
the room smelled,
we did not have a room in the main Inn, the room was more like a bungalow,
the occupants above our room made noice all night
breakfast was horrible,
both days milk was always out, tried the fruit, but was rotten, the food was half frozen,
we noticed other guests went out to by breakfast and ate it in the dining room, we had no choice but to go out and buy breakfast as well.
