Marina Inn Des Moines / SeaTac

Room was very large, clean and comfortable. Enjoyed having the bar sink near the fridge and coffee maker. Shower was great, plenty of pressure and hot water. I liked that the towels were a little smaller and thinner as they dry your body better than the heavier towels. Towels were changed daily and room was serviced. They have one washer and one dryer for guests to use, costing $5 total. Both were clean and worked well. The lobby staff was very friendly. Plenty of parking but within walking distance of numerous restaurants, small stores, bank, etc. as it is in downtown Des Moines.

WiFi never worked in our ground floor room during our 6 day stay. We were told it was Comcast's fault and they didn't come out on a timely basis to fix it. However, the Lobby and 2nd floor had Wi-Fi. As noted in many reviews, the breakfast is not great, just coffee, apple juice, pastry, bagels for the toaster, fruit, waffles, and yogurt. No hot items except for the waffles. After 6 days it was pretty boring albeit convenient.

Convenient to the marina, restaurants and services.

Very thin towels. The towels did not dry out during the day. Breakfast was skimpy.

The property was in a good location. It was a clean room.

It is an older hotel, so not as upgraded. The breakfast was disappointing.

Room and decor were pretty dated and could do with a refresh. Room was reasonably clean.
