The Park Vista - A DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel - Gatlinburg

Location was awesome,2 king beds awesome, views amazing, the only place we got to see bears was at the hotel.

Didn’t like that parking was a separate charge. Wished there was a bath tub for our small kids.

I like the convenience of having the restaurant downstairs. The pool was nice hot tub was also nice, the gift shop in case snacks or drinks were needed in the middle of the night that were open 24 hours. The bedding and pills were absolutely comfortable. Cookies are absolutely great. Crystal taking care of our wedding is awesome for 2028 and we will have our guests staying here. Walking into the hotel the presentation is on point a good. Trolly service is also great! Sights on mountain side excellent.

I will state what I did not like but I wanted to make sure it is taken with a grain of salt and more maybe evaluate maintenance or possible updates to rooms. Some of the things I did not like was the bathroom. The bathroom wallpaper needs to be reevaluated and some of these rooms need to be checked on maintenance. One was the toilet needs to be reevaluated because it actually rocked when you got up from the toilet maintenance seems to double check on this. The wall dividing the sink area to the shower and the shower and toilet area needs to go so it doesn't feel so cramped. Been to plenty of high end areas suck a the riu hotel in Chicago to hotels mackinaw island mission point hotel. To mid range hotel such as holiday inn express in saint ignace dury hotel convention center. The bathroom feels cramped but its doable. Maintenance also needs to be aware of peeling wallpaper in the corners in the bathroom which it was noticed that proper ventilation for the bathroom is not there. There is no ventilation to help draw out the moisture which causes the wallpaper to pee and damage to your ceiling in the bathrooml. It is also noticed that in some of the corners it was very caulked up and looked very sloppy. Staff was nice but seemed slightly passive aggressive at times? Understand it can be a looooooong day and hospitality is hard. Hot tub. Jets were, lacking? Meaning, not many jets to give a true hot tub feel. IT WAS WARM lower on the hotter end but still was good. $20 a night for parking, that is kinda trippy. Ok I get $20 maybe for the stay but a night? Seems a little, " gotcha" feel to it. Was not aware of this until we arrived. If you had people watching the parking lot at night to prevent bear attacks on our cars or detour theft maybe but seems steep. We liked the hotel the restaurant/ roomservice/ kitchen was open just a little longer. I know that's alot to ask but just more of a opinion not a total bummer.

I love the location and the room was big I loved the view. The balcony was awesome. I loved how the hotel looked and the beds were the most comfortable

The Incidental fee is $50 which isn’t told up front and there is a parking fee $20 after you check out that isn’t said up front

The location, the pool area, the outdoor areas, the staff, pet, friendly, hotel, and breakfast.

The hotel appeared due for a remodel and updated. The AC struggled… Our room did not get below 71° the first night with the thermostat set on 64°. I called the front desk and had maintenance check it out. We were told it was a combination of being on the 12th floor (heat rises) and the sun hitting the windows of our room as it set. We cancelled the 3rd night and checked out early. Shower appeared to be updated… but water handle fell off multiple times and the glass shower door would not stay closed and opened multiple times during showers and wet the floor so then we had to dry it. It wasn’t terrible by any means, but it definitely didn’t meet the expectations. I had set as I have always seen the hotel and look forward to staying there.
