Residence Inn Phoenix Desert View at Mayo Clinic

We had a great stay! The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and patient. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of variety and different options every day—always a nice surprise! We loved the lobby and outdoor areas, with plenty of space to relax, have a drink or snack, or attempt a puzzle and realize you’re not nearly as good at puzzles as you thought. 😂 The kitchen was also well equipped for cooking and cleaning, which was especially important since my husband has a special diet. It really made our stay easier and more comfortable.

A few small things could be improved. The air conditioner was surprisingly loud and liked to make its presence known throughout the night—even this very heavy sleeper noticed it! We also couldn’t really open the windows. The issue wasn’t the safety stoppers, but that our windows were directly above the natural gas vents, and opening them brought the smell of natural gas into the room. So unfortunately, airing out the room wasn’t really an option. Finally, the only water bottle refill station we found was in the gym. A more centrally located one would be great—especially for those of us who would prefer not to pretend we’re going to the gym just to get water. 😂

The location to the Mayo Clinic and the availability for shuttle back-and-forth was very helpful

If you have a car, it’s a good location to the mall and restaurants. If you don’t have a car, you need to Uber.

It was OK and in a good location

The trim in the Bathroom that holds the towels the paint was chipping off I would recommend a man made material that does not need painting.

I liked its location, the cleanliness, the room set-up, the view, the night front desk people.

I didnt like the day front desk people who were a little less kind, less amicable, less tolerant of hearing about the very noisy refrigerator/freezer that was loud and its motor hummed HORRIBLY loudly, intermittently all night long disrupting one's sleep. This was in room 512. We asked for a change in our room to no avail. They wanted to fix the refrigerator while we were still in the room trying to sleep. So when they never came, then only after several hours, did we get a phone call that basically said they couldn't fix it and that they would now move us. But by then it was too late. We were going to our appointment and couldnt move anywhere at that time, or else we would be late to our appointment.
