Motel 6 South Gate CA

It’s close to my families house

It didn’t have shampoo or blow dryer

Of all the hotels I've stayed in recently, this one in particular was absolutely amazing. Staff member Tina or Trina (can't remember) was exceptionally hospitable, professional, warm and a delight to engage. Very rare from hotel services in my experience. Our rooms sink was clogged and would back up whenever we used it. When we reported it, the maintenance lady (so disappointed that I never got her name) was exceptionally tentative, polite and reassuring. She arrived to address the issue and was able to plunge the sink and unclog it. Her determination to see the issue resolved rather than pass it off to a plumbing service was so admirable and appreciated. Nothing but smiles and warmth from these two particular ladies during the whole stay.

The AC in our room was somewhat inconsistent. It would turn off and on, even when adjusted to the coolest setting during the hottest times of the day. It still would shut off for several moments allowing the room to warm up to uncomfortable levels before turning back on. Sleeping in this condition also got frustrating causing me to wake up hot while waiting for the unit to engage again. No matter the settings or room temp, the unit would still go off and on randomly.

It was clean, even the floor towel had no stains. It was quiet and slept well.

The vanity sink, was clogged.

Broken remote, toilet running all night
