Location was good, beds were comfortable.
Lobby and hallways smelled awful, leaking ceiling in atrium onto carpet in several places, pool was out of towels, Our key cards didn’t work, had to go get re-keyed. Garage is ridiculously low, couldn’t even open the hatch of my van in many spaces. No fridge in room, never got coffee refreshed or new towels. Elevators were painfully slow, no ice machine on our floor, ac worked great but was very loud. If just one or two of these happened, I’d never be one to complain but it just seemed to be too many disappoints to be pleased with the stay.

I did not like the enteriour, furnitures are old and tatty, the vibe in the hotel is not that pleasent, the continous air extractions system noise is terrible

What is it there to like about it, everything was exactly as we remembered it from the last time we stayed, but the fact that they close the hot tub was a real downer and it’s going to affect our decision decision making when deciding to stay in South Bend again
A couple things: the hot tub was the main reason why we wanted to stay at the Doubletree, and it was unfortunately closed, the bed was hard also but, the corner room with the king bed was magnificent! So overall it was a very pleasant stay for my wife and I

The beds were comfy.
Air conditioner unit that sounded like a helicopter landing. No toilet paper holder. Old dirty bathtub that needed caulking. Shampoo and lotion not restocked. Disgusting tv remote that left a wipe totally black. Parking garage with 5’8” ceiling that couldn’t fit most suvs or trucks.

Dirty. Carpet in room made my feet black. Front desk clerk (Neff) was extremely rude. I asked for daily housecleaning services and had to ask on third day.

Love the proximity to shows, restaurants, and shopping.
There were maintenance issues in the room left unattended. The window treatments had been pulled from the rod and unusable to close out the city lights. The desk and bed side lamps were not working. And Yes I checked they were plugged in to the wall socket. The general halls and elevators were in fair condition for the age of the building. It was very busy at the hotel and only 1 to 2 of the 3 elevators were running. Long wait times and no warning when placed on the 6th floor to take stairs.

The hot tub not in service last few times we have stayed there. The last time we stayed the pool was also closed. We pick our hotel by amenities. Which we enjoy using hot tubs so was very disappointed it's been closed over a year.

Breakfast was not great at all. Facility location perfect.
The room was dusty, I have to clean the desk before I could sit at it to work, the furniture in general was just old and falling apart.

Wi-Fi/internet availability was the worst I’ve ever experienced. If I’m on a business trip and need internet connection, I would not stay here. The AC did not work in the room, the pool was unavailable for use, no USB ports for charging electronics, unable to change the incorrect time on the room clock, hot air blower running constantly in hall for the full length of stay.

The location was perfect for our trip. 1 block from the Morris Performance Center. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Cookies upon arrival were such a nice touch

The area it was in was great. Went to take walk on the river but had the walk way closed.
Pool was closed. Hot tub was closed. That was whole reason we went.

Pool and hot tub were closed- no one knew why, and nothing was mentioned on the website about that when I booked. I asked the desk to send someone up to the room to fix the ac while we were out all day- nothing was done. I had to ask again at 8:30pm after being out all day. Staff wouldn’t take early check-ins, but I was able to check in and get my key using the Hilton app an hour early- no one said I could do that while I was sitting around waiting for nothing.

The Bakery restaurant staff were lovely and very helpful. The check in staff were pleasant. The bed linen was clean and white. Location is excellent and good restaurants are close by.
The room cleaning service was the worst I have ever experienced - and we travel frequently. Pulling up the sheets on a bed does not mean a bed has been made nor does it mean a room has been serviced - no tea/coffee sachets were replaced, no coffee cups - no soap in bathroom etc - the cleaner must have entered the room, pulled up the sheets and left taking the generous tip with them...... very poor service indeed. When looking for an item I dropped I pulled the bedside cabinet slightly forward and I would suggest the cleaners actually cleaning behind these as there was a thick layer of dust showing that this was obviously never actually done nor behind the bed area which you could also see when the cabinet was pulled forward. The room and bed linen on arrival looked very clean but this was a surface clean - not the Hilton full standard one would expect. The room was high up in the hotel but street noise quite loud - overall this was a disappointing experience which is a shame as the location is excellent.
