Sugar Beach Resort Hotel

It is right on the beach and chairs and loungers available. The room as clean and I felt really safe there

The only downside is trying to get out in traffic. It’s not against the resort the traffic is always just heavy

Close to the water. Nice breakfast delivery process with a good amount of options. Coffee 24/7. Responsive staff via text messaging

Wheelchair accessible room was small (turning radius was minimal… would have to back into spots because turning around wasn’t a viable option accessible pool lift worked while going down into the water, but then had difficulties going back up. Took 30 minutes to press the button to get the lift out of the water. Lacked automatic doors on the outside doors of the building which would have been helpful for wheelchair users. I did request a wheelchair accessible room. Perhaps this location only had wheelchair accessible toilet/big bathroom but the shower WAS NOT accessible for a wheelchair user.

It had an amazing location-obviously right off of beautiful Lake Michigan.

It was extremely outdated in terms of interior design, and looked very worn and in need of a full renovation. In addition, some of the staff should definitely not be working in the hospitality industry— not very friendly. Others seemed nice though. Definitely should work on making the overall property management team (including management) more friendly/ nice / helpful in order to maximize the amazing location the hotel has been given.
