Very old and never remodeled, dirty/stained carpet

Didn't like the fact I booked two apartments and they put us far from each other. We would have like being together.

Dishwasher broke took 3 out of our 6 days to fix and couldn’t use

We did enjoy the pool .

The carpet in our condo was absolutely disgusting. I didn’t want to sit on the furniture. There was a lot of trash/discarded appliances all over the grounds. It looked like a junk yard.

There wasn’t a breakfast option provided. The property location was very good, and the beach access was good, but not a walkable distance for seniors.

The layout of the rooms weren’t convenient for seniors. (Long narrow set of stairs up to to kitchen, living room, master bedroom, balcony, dinning room and we stayed downstairs most of the stay, because of this) The bathroom in the master bedroom was small, toilet was too close to the cabinet, jacuzzi hasn’t been properly maintained. Living room furniture needs replaced, very uncomfortable and way out of date.

Climbing 47 steps to get to room. A/C did not work. Maintenance guy told me the room was 58 degrees but that is because he shot his temperature gun at the vent. Obviously they knew A/C was not working correctly in that unit because the master bedroom had it's own window unit. No other unit had one. Kitchen utensils were dirty. Carpets and vents were FILTHY!! All A/C & heating vents are covered in black mold. The bath tub was also all moldy and disgusting. The outdoor pool was full of sand as if they couldn't be bothered to vacuum it because it was the end of the season. There was no gym but when you looked at the pictures, it showed a gym. It also showed an indoor pool and game room and they weren't there neither. That is why we picked this facility. WHAT A HUGE LETDOWN! I would never come back and will be leaving a review on Travel Advisor including pictures so other people don't get fooled with your bait and switch advertising.

The room was gorgeous and updated. Comfortable beds, convenient location to restaurants and access to the beach. The pool stays open late and our kids loved swimming at night, they even had a movie on a projector for the kids to watch while swimming that evening.

Room had a bit of a musty air conditioning smell, but nothing too terrible. The TV in the living area did not work and that was a bit disappointing, but we were out exploring so much that it didn't bother us enough to report it to the resort, I just mentioned it when we checked out

The gentleman at check in was super helpful and clearly loved his job!

The smell of mildew was overpowering. Everything was dirty in the kitchen. There was black mold in almost every vent; visible black mold. Our unit had clearly had water damage on the ceiling that had been semi-speckled, but not sanded or painted.

Wonderful place to stay.

Booking.com has an indoor pool listed, even has pictures of it, the indoor pool was demolished 2 years ago. So, I wish I wouldn't have gotten my hopes up for that, but that had nothing to do with barrier island station.

The unit was large and met our needs.

We were LIED TO! We were told that we would have a view of the pool. We were about a quarter mile from the pool and there was several groups of condos between ours and the pool! We unexpectedly needed to spend another night and understood our unit was not available. But when we inquired about it we were told they would not let us stay for 1 night in an available unit because they wouldn't make any money! Even though we spent 5 nights and they made plenty off of us! Pretty poor customer service!!! Also the floors needed swept (of dirt not sand) when we arrived and one of the beds actually had sand under the top sheet! Also, there were a couple of cups in the cabinet that looked like someone had used them as ashtrays!

Customer service was great, location of property was perfect, pool was well cared for.

The room was not what I booked, I booked at king with 2 twins, got to the property and was given a two bedroom until w/separate entrances each with a king bed. The larger unit A, had an awful odor, very musty and humid. After letting it air out over night with air running door, the odor left the unit but the musty humidity did not. We were moved. The overall property had not been maintained or updated. It was clean.

we stayed one night in an apartment that was being renovated. it was messy inside and you could clearly tell they had been working. the fridge and microwave were not even plugged in. we moved to another place I requested two beds and was given two separate apartments. this was not needed I have two young children. we did not even utilize the second apartment with the full size bed. we all slept in the king bed.

We liked how close the beach was and the pool

We didnt like the parking we had to park at the bottom of the hill and carry our 7 month old up a hill and the drains were clogged but they fixed that first thing that morning

No Tv and the cable was out. The facuet in the tub dripped the whole time we were there. The toilets are small and very low to the floor. Our last night there was a storm and we spent part of the night and before we left cleaning up puddles of water off the floors don’t know how it got there.

Location was OK,but ask for Ocean or Pool view,got neither.Pool hours was good.

Carpets smelled like urine,furniture in living room smelled also.We were told we were getting a unit that had been redone,but we didn't.Location of our unit was not close to the pool or near the ocean,so walking to both a pain.

The sun shined. Air conditioning worked well. Pool was nice

Front desk staff ignorant and rude. Carpets were filthy, I mean disgustingly filthy through out the whole unit. Kitchen was not “well stocked” as stated.

Family time.

We wasn't made aware of very bad storm, and we was stuck in unit for 4 days. I also paid for beachfront and didn't get not even a view, an I also requested no stairs cause i am disabled and we was on very top unit, unit was very dirty an furniture broken, an when I went an talked to front desk she was just as rude as when we checked in. I barely got to leave an enjoy myself cause of storm an all the stairs..

The apartments were huge and clean

The only bad thing I can say is we was a little disappointed we had to walk so far for the beach access HOWEVER the property was huge so not everyone would have to walk so far!
