The place is really close to the main street so we were able to take our time and see the sights. The wide windows and the view of the trees felt really nice as well.

The room smelled really wet and musty on our first night.

I like the scenic road towards the hotel and when you reach the hotel looks so charming. All the amenity and PJ makes the room feels spa like. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Its about 10mins walk to the hotel but it gives me opportunity to explore the local shops and restaurants. Will be awesome to consider shuttle service from the train station.

Everyone inside the hotel has to change to slippers in order to keep the place clean

Strong heater made the room very dry. Considering the price, we expected to have more facilities and better breakfast.

The hotel receptionist: was friendly and accommodating. The bed: was very comfortable. The location: was convenient, just a few minute walk to Kyu Karuizawa and Karuizawa station. We will definitely stay here again in the near future. :)

It was an old hotel but it was well-maintained that’s why I liked it. The only thing I didn’t like was the price, it was relatively expensive. But what do you expect? It’s located in the heart of Karuizawa :) And also, I know that because of pandemic some hotels are cost-cutting on toiletries but it would’ve been nice if you provide bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body soap in the bathroom. Thank you! :)

Service was friendly, location is pretty convenient.

Bathtub too high, be careful to get in and out for a shower. Bathroom is quite small.

The staff service was very good. Good location, close to center and ski resorts Rooms were big.

A very cosy place. Very clean and very near to new n old Karuizawa.

First morning hot water wasnt running in the tap. We told the hotel staff (an elderly man) and he said he would get his maintenance guy to check. In the evening when we came back to the hotel, the elderly uncle immediately attended to us and apologized that the temperature the nite before was -9°C. The tap water could have frozen. He said the hot water was running already. Then he offered us a big fuji apple and a fruit knife and apologized again. It was beyond expectation. We felt very happy as he was so sincere. We will come back to stay in this hotel again as facilities n service were good. Thank you to the elderly uncle who made our stay memorable.
