It was close to town and the church where the memorial service was.

The bathroom didn’t have any hand soap bars in it. And there were no hangers on the rack for my clothes

Pride of ownership is evident in this well maintained older property. Very traditional feel that I liked. Staff was friendly and helpful. View was breathtaking.

Coffee machine was pretty old.

The staff were as helpful as they could be with a power outage the whole 1st day of check in.

The only furniture in the room was just 2 beds. No chairs to sit in for the entire 2 night (3 day) stay. We had to be moved from 1st room to 2nd room due to waiting for power to come back on. They should have reimbursed partial pay for the day that we could not use the room and having to move to a different room on our first night. Due to the power outage, we barely stayed in a room while we were there.

What breakfast???

back stairwell looked like a custodian closet not accessible, AC UNIT very loud in the room woke me up everytime it kicked on. Was delayed due to a flooding problem in DTW no flights out of Detroit and I had to pay for one night, there was no way I could have known that 48 hrs ahead. Should be discounted or no charge at a minimum. No coffee available on second morning. Room was set up very weird, had to unplug the microwave to plug in the coffee maker.

I liked the proximity to downtown and walkability to town.

The accommodations assigned were within "refurbishing" areas. All the room entry doors creaked, many electrical plugs didn't function properly, and spare room furnishings were just piled en mass at the end of the floor's corridor.

Stopper in bathroom sink was attached to nothing, had to dig it open each time I used the sink. No volume on the TV.

The location was good. The entrance and exit to the parking area is a little challenging if you meet a car coming in or leaving but it was doable. The room is recently renovated and they finishing touches were yet to come. Newly painted walls and fresh carpet on the stairs were evident. The room was very clean. The bed was amazingly comfortable. Not all rooms were occupied due to remodeling so our stay was very quiet. We weren't told of any breakfast, however, there was a fantastic cafe next door we wanted to try so we were happy.

The television was brand new and very hard to navigate. Very little to watch and if there was cable for local channels we were unable to figure out how to use. Glad we brought a book to read.
