Shell Island Resort - All Oceanfront Suites

It was a beautiful location, the hotel was family friendly. The beach was quiet and clean . The staff was excellent.

Everything

The location is great. The views and access to the beach were amazing. We loved sitting out on our balcony looking out at the ocean. The staff was nice and we used the hot tub and being that we were a drive from food it was nice to have the restaurant there. The food was just OK though but the convenience made up for that.

All the rooms are privately owned and all different which I didn't know. We couldn't get the remote control to work and the very nice handy man had us fixed up in no time. He mentioned to us when we were commenting on how dirty the couch was that there were other much nicer apartments. The apartment we were in needed a serious update in the bathrooms. The tile grout on the floor in the bathrooms was dirty, the bathtub stained and they needed a fresh coat of paint. The couch was very stained. It either needs to be cleaned or replaced.

The view was spectacular. Even though there was a wedding event we could not tell from our room. Nice, quite, peaceful weekend. Staff was very lovely.

Ac/heat module for our room needs replacement. The screen has diminished to the point that you can not see what the temperature is set at. Was a little disappointed to see a 91 health score for the restaurant.
