Still Waters Resort

We loved the location of the resort , thought the pools and pizza parlor was exceptional in value and cleanliness . The outside area with the seating and Taco and Drink trucks were fun. Lake access was nice and we did take advantage of the free kayaks and rented the jet skis when you had the two for one special. We did get locked out of our room twice(we had a bad key card and when we called the resort phone number they sent maintenance there within 5-7 minutes.

If I had to pick I'd say that the room needs so love. Everything in the room was some shade of brown. The walls were brown , comforter was brown and worn, counter tops were brown, bed was brown and the one picture above each bed was a palm tree in brown. There are so many beautiful waterfalls and mountains in the area that one could just take a couple of picutres and have them printed on canvas to put in the room, instead of palm trees, which there are none in the Ozarks.

The amenities,

The pillows and bed were uncomfortable to sleep in, bathrooms were small, toilet was in a corner that was hard to get in and out

The room was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed. The whirlpool tub was nice with plenty of hot water. The AC worked well and other people's kids didn't make too much noise. I would stay there again.

It would have been nice if the view of the lake from the back patio was a little clearer. The toilet in the room was kinda short and the space around it was a little cramped. The mattress was firmer than I prefer.

My family enjoyed the swimming pools, arcade and the towel exchange.

The state of the room itself was supbar, the carpet was filthy, the bedding wasn't the cleanest. There were spiders in the room, as well as some unknown small insect waiting under the covers of one of the beds our very first night. We also noticed what seemed to be mold on the bathroom ceiling; the four of us often sneezed during our room stay, but no where else on the property. There was also an issue with the elevator often malfunctioning and continuously taking us to the wrong floor.. As far as the on site restaurants, the workers at Pizza World were often curt & irritable. We ate/ordered from there numerous time, and each time, were met with the same coldness. Which is unfortunate, because the food was outstanding. Furthermore, on our last night, I attempted to order from El Jefe's but was told they were closed. However after speaking with the concierge, I had been informed that they were usually supposed to still be serving around the time I went.. So in other words, I was lied to, and went without dinner that day.
