It was an easy walk to the beach and lots of comfortable seating all around

The fact it was close to the beach
The service was inconsistent . It was either really bad or really good. For example, Jared in valet and taking bags was great as was a check-in guy who was blondish with a beard. Our server for lunch Saturday excellent. So were the spa people. The gift shop person was very rude. The shop was closed all the time. The hotel color very drab and depressing. Needs an uplift. The beach was the highlight.

Clean.
Beach front view room with balcony was a waste of money. There is a pool, a fence, a highway which pretty much removes the view. The balcony was useless as the fires on the beach wafted smoke up to the balcony. The restaurant was mixed. The steaks were great, the salmon tasteless and warm wedge salads.
