No wifi. Rooms were shabby. Even the phone unit was not working even at check in. Instead of fixing any of this, the receptionist was suggesting that the wifi was just complimentary and hence not guaranteed, the phone might need some wiring which he asked us to do. I had important work to do while traveling and there was no way to get that done since there was no wifi and no cell service either. The receptionist was rude and came up with trash stories of how everything in the hotel was connected to the "cloud" and hence he could not reset the network. Unable to get my work done, I asked politely if we could check out within 30 min of arriving at the hotel because of the situation and we were flatly and rudely told we could use the library or the pool and the hotel wasn't responsible for fixing the issues. Even the booking.com representative was frustrated with the receptionist. Absolutely horrible stuff for a so called 3 star hotel. Ruined our Christmas completely while also charging my wallet Would never stay or recommend anyone to stay here because of the horrible behavior of the receptionist.

The unit is too small, with a terrible carpet and yellow walls all over. The bed is ok. Me and my wife could finish the burger and sandwich we got at the restaurant. Terrible! Greasy and tasteless. We both had stomach ache after. We spent 10 days traveling. 10 different hotels (including motel 8). Austria Hof was the worst one.

Compared to other Mammoth Lakes motels, the price was good. The mattress and pillows were okay. The clerk that checked us in was very friendly. The coffee was good but you had to wait until 8am to get it -- located in the lobby.

The carpets throughout the motel are old and dirty. There was a weird smell in the hallway--some kind of perfume they put on the carpet. The lamp didn't work right and the tiny coffee pot in the room was broken. The room was old, dark, dingy and small. We did not want to walk around the room without shoes on. Definitely below our standards.
