Superb

I think the negative reviews of this hotel are dated, unreflective of recent improvements. My room and that of my friends was spotless. Staff was friendly, I would definitely stay here again.

Was not able to stay because the office was locked when we arrived with paid reservations.

The fact that I paid in advance and when we arrived not one answer the phone or the Door to the office. We were unable to get into our room. Also there was no other place in town to stay. Now I don't have a room and I am out over $100.

We had paid reservations. We were traveling, it was a little after 11pm when we arrived and the office was locked up tight, no one was answering the phone. We were unable to get our room. Waited and called many times before we left, only to be told nothing else available in town. I'm not really happy with this place

It was clean. The bed was comfortable and it had a microwave and a small refrigerator.

The chairs were very old and uncomfortable and need to be replaced. There was no continental breakfast as advertised. The office was closed so you could not check out in the morning. Furniture needs to be replaced.

Went for the weekend. It was quiet off the main road. Nothing fancy but clean.

Quiet. Gas station, grocery store and restaurants very close by.

Would not stay again.

Guy in the lobby was great. Easy to get to room.

Very out dated , Room was stale. Stains on carpet ,and furniture. Didn't think the price of $125 a night was worth it.

It's conveniently located, but facilities are run down and out dated.

I have been coming to Ellijay for 4 decades to visit family, usually staying at the Stratford Inn. The facilities have gone downhill tremendously in those years. It has not been maintained at all, and they no longer offer a free breakfast.

Low class, out dated, things needed to be fixed and looked like it was rigged

Location was the only good part of this hotel

I reserved a room for 3 adults, there were only 2 towels in the room, when asked for another one we were told that we would have to share. Once my husband went to see the manager on duty we were told that they would have to get one out of another room?????????? So confused??????

Staff was courteous and there were plenty of places to eat and get a decent cup of coffee.

Not worth the over $100 we paid. There was no alarm clock. There was only 1 creamer and 1 sugar packet for the coffee, which was terrible.

Location

Room was filthy,beds and pillows were pretty bad,tv selection was subpar,tried to get in touch withe front desk twice only to get a busy signal, stain on bedspread,hair in bathtub, brown sunstance on the wall in the bathroom. Just all around dirty. The picture designated lobby is actually the outlet next to the sink.

OK for the one night but the value for the money was not there.

Comfortable bed only spent short hours of sleep here.

Had to repeatedly ring the bell to get a response from the night manager. Manager was not too excited to see us because we got stuck in FOG TRAFFIC and arrived after Midnight. Not our fault but he was grumpy about it

It we could have moved hotels, we would have even though we couldn’t get a refund.

It was relatively quiet.

We weren’t asked about a smoking/non smoking room. Upon checkin, we were told we were in a smoking room, with no ability to switch rooms. The smell was awful, and everything including the pillows reeked. The place was clean, but very old and stained in multiple areas on walls and mirrors.

I liked the location to downtown Ellijay.

Upon check in, desk clerk wouldn’t let me switch credit cards for payment. wasn’t too happy about that, but past that nice stay.
