Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Santa Fe South

The room was nice and clean, good bed. Only the air conditioning had a bad smell. It is a good location.

On booking.com, this hotel is listed as a 5-star property, but that is absolutely NOT the case. The breakfast is truly dismal—no fruit or fresh items like cold cuts or fresh bread. No bacon, beans in tomato sauce, or an omelet with vegetables. Just an omelet with or without cheese. Everything else consists of pre-packaged items like a mini jar of jam, a mini yogurt, a mini cake, or mini croissants—but nothing fresh. I wouldn’t even give this breakfast three stars. The staff at the front desk aren’t paying attention to the guests—they’re on their computers or cell phones. Very little hospitality for a five-star hotel. It’s just a mid-range hotel like so many others in the United States—but definitely not a five-star hotel.

It served its purpose for a one night stay driving through Santa Fe. I didn’t shower or eat the breakfast, only slept.

Good breakfast was available, friendly help and good service

My room was located on the second floor with no elevator. I had difficulty carrying my bags up the stairs.

Nice pool and hot tub.

Breakfast had very limited choices. I think the so called OJ was Sunny D if that tells you anything. Room smelled like pee. Had to leave the window open all day in attempt to let it air out. Which didn’t work.
