Our first night here was in one of the balcony rooms facing the ocean and it was the best bed we had slept in for our trip, the view was fabulous and the room had all the amenities we needed. We tried to book this same room for a 2nd night, but it was already booked, so we got a different room. This other room had all the amenities and was comfortable, but the mattress wasn't quite the same - still good but that other one was great. We found out that each room is owned by a different person which is why they are decorated differently and the beds are not the same. This was fine and actually made the rooms more unique than a typical motel/hotel. If we find ourselves back in Ocean Shores we will definitely book this place again. The walk to the beach was a good distance but was well worth it and we saw deer in the hedge row, just outside the hotel. This place doesn't look like much on the outside and yes, the furniture in our two rooms seemed a bit dated but comfort and amenities, as well as location made this place a 10 in our books.

We didn't use the pool or any other facilities, so I didn't like being charged for a resort fee that we didn't use - but perhaps this fee also pays for someone to cut the grass and keep the path to the beach accessible, which we enjoyed once. I didn't ask if we could omit this charge as I assumed that it was a required fee and non-negotiable. This would be my only complaint as it made the rooms quite expensive.

Close to the water. Ample parking. Charming decor in the rooms. Nice balcony area. Comfy bed. Good heater.

Sketchy upper walkways, felt like they were going to come down at any second. Room key worked for my room and a room down the hall- found out the hard way when somebody got confused and had set up in my room. Seems like a security concern.
