Clean room, easy check in. Friendly staff.

I almost hit 3 little kids coming into the parking lot because some couple was working on their car at 10pm letting a what looked like 2 year old 4 year old and maybe 6 year old run around the back parking lot with no shoes. No one got the children I had to turn around and go around because they were running every where. And to the right about 15 men were drinking beers in the parking lot all loud which was right by our room. The guy across from our room kept going in and out slamming the door til around 3am. I had a vendor event and eas so tired but got little sleep.

Breakfast is always good.

Room toilet is getting old. Could use another handcart that allows hanging bags on, the flat cart is just a little better than n nothing at all

All the hotel staff, including Liz at the front desk, were very warm, friendly and helpful. The property itself is in decent shape but could use some work in the common areas in terms of modernization. Overall, though, the environment was pleasant and comfortable. There's a computer and printer in the hotel lobby, and it came in handy for something we needed to print from an email. I appreciated that Betty, the General Manager, reached out to me after I left feedback through the Choice Hotels post-stay survey. It was a nice and very personal touch, and I felt that she addressed my concerns so that future guests will have a better experience. The location was great and very convenient to I-5 as well as dining and shopping options in Kelso and Longview. Overall, the stay was pleasant and enjoyable, and this hotel is a solid option in the area.

The general manager contacted me after my stay and indicated they are working on improving the common areas. The bedroom portion of our room was nicely appointed and modern, and the bed was very comfortable, but the bathroom and entryway are very dated and have not yet been renovated. The GM said these parts of the rooms will also be refreshed and renovated. The entire room was very clean despite some of the older fixtures. The breakfast was disappointing, though. They did not have scrambled eggs available to go with the biscuits and gravy, sausage patties, seasoned potatoes, and DIY waffles that were served. They had hard-boiled eggs available, but when you want a traditional American breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, and waffles such as you get at other comparable hotels, the absence of scrambled eggs causes the experience to fall flat. Some of the hot options were not really "hot," and the GM (Betty) said she will take measures to ensure the situation is corrected.
