Windsor Hotel & Restaurant

By far one of the nicest places I stayed at in a long time! Beautiful historic hotel with all modern amenities you can wish for. My room, the lounges, the reception area and the restaurant - welcoming, cozy and a very special ambience from the general impression down to lovely little details that show you that you are welcome and cared for. I had the best coffee ever in a hotel room - there was a "real" coffee machine with all the necessary items and a jar with real Colorado roast - delicious! The restaurant is beautiful as well with great service and a cuisine that is usually hard to find in small places like Del Norte (or even in bigger places!)! Considering the super price-performance ratio, this hotel is a real gem! Thank you, Tim and Sarah, and all the WIndsor people for a great time!

Nothing - everything was perfect.

The hotel is adorable and the bed was very comfortable. We ate at the restaurant and the food was fantastic. This is truly a jewel!

Can't think of a thing!

I loved the building’s charm and friendly staff. The backyard patio was nice area to relax. They also had a live band on Saturday on the patio and a craft fair on Sunday in the dinner by room which we enjoyed! It was located among good restaurants. Also a wonderful bakery and a cozy cafe. The bed and linens were also comfortable. Fun times and great memories!

No refrigerator in the room but down the hall to share with other guests.

they have stopped any/all services “because of Covid”. no housekeeping, no breakfast which in the past has been available to all -homemade bakery goods on a tray by all the bedrooms. now just coffee in the rooms. there is a bakery in town but not available until 8-9. it was closed during my stay. having family in the area, there hasn’t been a mask request in the valley for 6+ months. Windsor prefers masking in the Lobby…OK but for an old, out of date hotel to cut back on the only personal services they have…due to Covid…is not a good decision.
