Extended Stay America Select Suites - Baton Rouge - Citiplace

Good value, clean and good location. Front desk staff was nice. Close to a lot of places to eat and more. Close to freeway & easy to get to.

There was no ice machine in the hotel and only a very over priced vending machine, charging $5 for a bag of chips and $4 for a candy bar. Also, we were charged a $50 deposit and were completely unaware that we would be required to pay it. There was nothing in the booking process that said $50 deposit would be required. The couple checking before us were surprised by it as well. That needs to be somewhere in the booking process so people know it. Some hotels charge for incidentals but this was not incidentals since there was nothing in the room to use.

My daddy love the property even tho he said it seems be in the hood some how he was quiet

Good location decent size rooms

The shower didn’t work and neither did the drain plug for the tub, my key card also stopped working in the middle of the night when I needed to run and get something out of my car

The location

The night desk clerk took at least 35 minutes to come down and check me and multiple other guest in. She was very rude and even slammed a door in my face because I called to ask her to come down multiple times. Mind you it was after midnight and I had my 1 year old with me. The room was ok for a stay I guess
