My criteria for a motel are fairly simple - clean, quiet, adequate equipment, comfortable. I don't need fancy frills or aesthetic treats... Timbers met my needs admirably at a price that was well below their competition. They offer value at a comparatively low cost.

Friendly staff, clean and quiet room, good location (if you have a car). An older facility but still comfortable. Refrigerator was cold and microwave worked well. Did not watch the TV.
Lacks good water pressure in the shower. No free coffee in the morning but there are a number of coffee places close by (there is a Wendy's a couple of blocks away (their cold brew drinks are great) but it did not open until 8am).

Dog Friendly.
Very small and uncomfortable beds.
