Maplecroft Bed & Breakfast

The breakfast was really good! There was coffee, water, and juice available in the communal fridge almost always. You could easily text the host if you needed something. There were plenty of things to do or find in the area! There were pamphlets of local activities and places to visit and she gave us some more recommendations! It had a nice location that didn't give us trouble for our first time in the state and there were plenty of reasturaunts and shops in walking distance! We felt we had a lot of privacy as well, since she doesn't go in the rooms unless requested for a linen change. Theres a tv in the living room of the house with plenty of games if you wanted to just chill as well:) She was super accomodating to allergens from what we saw, we didnt have dietary restrictions but she made a seperate but similar gluten-free dish for another guest! It also wasn't a big deal we had gotten there a few hours earlier than we thought! I set our estimated arrival for an hour after our gps' eta incase of traffic. She still let us check in early without problem. We had a 14 hour drive from Cincinnati to Barre, VT and we didnt hit much traffic so it was nice to get off the road as soon as possible:)

I stayed for a week and our bathroom was disconnected from the room. We were given bathrobes which helped but if I knew that we would have looked at other options since we were there for a week. There is a communal mini fridge in the dining room which we only used once for little bit, we were worried about keeping anything in it since it was small and open to other guests which wasn't a big deal, but if your used to hotels it might not be your favorite. There wasn't anything we didn't really like! This was also our first bed and breakfast/ not staying in a regular hotel, and it wasn't bad at all! This was also my first time booking and through booking.com and I thought I had paid in full, but It didn't take the full payment as I had originally thought. I had to transfer more money when we got there, which wasn't a big deal and I should've double checked, but it wasn't a big deal! I do wish she would've reached out to double check maybe a day or two before, but it wasn't a big deal at all!

Check in was seamless. Hostess was very gracious and accommodating . She showed us how to use the locks on the doors, where breakfast was, and showed us personally to our lovely room.

The B&B has character and the pancake breakfast was exceptionally good. Loved the front porch for coffee. Stayed in the upper apartment and it was exactly as advertised. The owner is a very pleasant person who goes out of her way to make one feel at home. Very walkable and several nearby food options. Parking was adequate even for my truck.

We were served excellent breakfasts on both mornings by the owner. The property is conveniently situated, not far from the town centre and Barre was convenient for touring the area.

A duster flicked over the furniture would have helped.
