The room was very clean and comfortable. The owners gave me an extra coffee that i requested and told me to let them know if there was anything else we needed during our stay.
The only thing I did not like was that my schedule would not allow me to stay a few more days. The room was about a block from downtown area with the business area being very walkable from my room.

We were greeted nicely and had no trouble checking into our rooms. The location is perfect for walking to the boardwalk. Staff recommended a restaurant for us to try.
Upgrade the coffee in the room?

No frills stay as we were there for one night on our way home from Southern CA. It felt like staying at an aunt and uncle's retro home that has been well-maintained -- I appreciated the small touches like the heat lamp in the bathroom and the TV with working channels (didn't have to log in to our streaming apps). It was quiet with no loud neighbors. The owners were helpful and laid back. Free parking!
The first impression entering the room was that we stepped back in time -- there is some normal wear and tear on the bed shams and furniture and lighting is dim. However, everything works perfectly and is clean/tidy so I consider it good function over form.
