1906 Mission

Fine place. Meet expectations.

No reception. Junkies in the front of the house.

The shared kitchen/common area was super practical since I didn’t want to eat out, and everything was kept very clean. The location in the Mission is vibrant, full of restaurants and cafés. I had read mixed things online about safety, but during my stay I felt comfortable and secure, even at night. Rooms are simple and bathrooms are shared, but well maintained.

Since it 's in a vibrant neighborhood, street noise can pick up a bit at night.

Customer Service, privacity and common areas

PIN / PASSWORD didn't work well.

I liked the common areas. They had some nice interesting books and a tourist pamphlet.

The blankets were stained as was the carpet. It was pretty muggy/dingy inside. No air flow, although there were small fans accessible and the window opened. The shower tile on the ground was cracked but it was a decent shower. Not much water pressure at all though. The bathrooms were Itty bitty, but functional. Check in was confusing. There's an app youre suppose to use that only works for the front door, but is suppose to work for your room too. It doesn't. We could only get ahold of staff through text message. No one answered calls. The person answering through text was pleasant though and responded fairly quickly. Once we got a reply from them it turns out there's a code for a storage closet in the hallway that holds manual keys for the rooms. The city is pretty sketchy. A ton of addicts and homeless. There is an off site parking garage which was very helpful. Payment through another app though. But the car was safe and not on the street. Overall not terrible. It was relatively cheap, so idk what i was expecting. A little confusing/misleading, but if I needed a cheap place to stay and didn't want to worry about grossness it met expectations. I would stay there again if I didn't have a ton of money.
