Motel 6 Walton, KY - Richwood - Cincinnati Airport South

I only stay in two Motel 6, this one Walton, Ky and one in Virginia. Both use to be different hotels/Inns before Motel 6 took them over. Walton, Ky use to be Comfort Inn before becoming Motel 6. Let’s be upfront YOU get what you pay for at hotels, some are better than others. You have to decide do you do with less thrills and pay less or upgrade on the thrills and pay more. When I travel I want a decent(not fancy), safe, clean comfortable bed with workable A/C, microwave/refrigerator/TV and internet. Motel 6 at Walton provides all this, I had a fresh clean King size bed that slept great with comfortable pillows. The room was very clean and shower had plenty hot water, with plenty of towels. No Breakfast, But Hot Coffee and Hot Water. The coffee was surprisingly good and very hot every morning and able for refills to early afternoon. The Staff Was Very Good Friendly and Helpful. The cleaning staff was very helpful and assisted in anything that they were able to do to satisfy your needs. They were awesome to help and friendly and easy to interact with.

Didn’t like that lighting was not bright, refrigerator only seem to operate at about 6, not really cold even when I had it all the way to high. Plaster in the bathroom was missing in one section and another section looked as if it could fall soon. Had a pot of hot water but no tea bags or hot chocolate, but plenty of great coffee!

We were so impressed with the cleanliness of the lobby and our room. As this is an older hotel and the price was way under other places, we didn't expect much sight unseen. We were warmly greeted and the motel was so nice and quiet too. Other places are always so loud all night long.

The room could use some more lighting. It was quite dark and for us oldies we need more light over ambience...lol

The room was a great size, was clean, had a fridge & microwave. Bed was comfortable but had a metal frame. Forrest, who checked us in was very, very nice. He was very polite and respectful.

I didn't like that there was no coffee pot in the room and no small bottles of shampoo, etc. And everything you walked up to the bed, if your foot hit the frame it was a loud noise. It is in a great location.

Clean room, good location.

No coffee maker, too few (and to small) towels, rather surly night clerk.
