Southern Inn & Suites Lamesa

The location was convenient & the staff were very friendly & efficient. It was very easy to make a reservation. The room was fairly clean. Once the AC got started, the room temp was nice. The freezer in the refrigerator worked really well. The beds were pretty comfortable. We liked the convenience of having a room fridge & microwave.

It was outdated; particularly the bathtub. It was clean but appeared dirty because of rust around the base of it. The furniture (mostly the table & chairs) were a little old & rickety. The towels were pretty thin- almost threadbare. We were only given 2 bath towels & there were 3 adults registered to the room. However, I called & immediately got more towels from the staff. My mom reported that the coffee maker was dirty & she had to clean it thoroughly before using it. I think the carpet needs to be cleaned or replaced.

Appeared to be new owners. Acted like they were unsure of hotel procedures. Electronic check-in wasn't available.

This hotel was very quiet, the room was away from the street; at the time of my stay, there were few other guests, so it was very tranquil. the room itself was everything one needs for overnight comfort, nothing lacking. a perfect value, in my estimation.

No bedspread or blankets....no hot water....trouble getting key cards to work.
