The localization, the vibe of the hotel and the food are very good.
I found hair in the bathroom, before we even use it. The rest was good.

The location is excellent, right in downtown Chicago and just steps from Starbucks Reserve. The property has a beautiful boutique-style design, an on-site café, and a lively bar that seemed popular. The Wi-Fi was very fast, and the room, while small, was lovely and very cozy. There is also a compact gym downstairs with treadmills, dumbbells, and bikes; I didn't use it after all the walking we did, but it looked well equipped for a workout.
The only minor issue was the room's air conditioning. It was hard to tell whether it was cooling or heating, and it kept turning itself back on after I switched it off. It didn't seem to be working quite right, although I could turn it off again each time.

Great location, close to the lake, magnificent mile, restaurants, etc. We walked everywhere! The bathroom looked renovated.

This was a more affordable option with historic charm. Food and the drink I had from the bar were good. Fun crowd with a variety of visitors.
Bar was extremely loud. We had to move to another area because the three people at the bar were so loud and the room probably needs some acoustic help to soften the echo.
