Lake Bluff Inn and Suites

Friendly staff, very clean room, beautiful grounds, lakefront, and views. Location and price by local comparison were great!

1. The photos of the "Deluxe double queen suite, lakeview" that I reserved showed a kitchen with a full-size refrigerator and a full-size stove. I packed food that those appliances would accommodate. Upon arrival, the room had a mini fridge and a microwave. The facility had 2 broken ice machines, so I had to buy ice for 2 days to keep all the food cold that would not fit in the mini fridge and was not intended for microwave cooking. I had to pay for extra meals out that were not planned for. 2. The pavilion that gets rented out for events was about 40 ft from my patio door. On Saturday from 3:30pm to 11pm, a Quinceañera took place with a DJ and very loud music. I could barely hear my cell phone with the volume all the way up. Now, I love a Quinceañera, I paid a lot for one 2 yrs ago for my granddaughter, but I reserved the room for a quiet and relaxing weekend after working 12 rough days in a row. It would have been nice for the non refundable facility to make me aware ahead of time that this event was taking place steps outside my window. This event was planned way before my reservation.

The property was gorgeous and the spot was perfect. Sauna, gym and hot tub were big perks

The first room we had.. two bedroom sweet was rough to say the least but we communicated our concerns and right away they upgraded us to a better two bedroom suite that had a lake view. Some of the rooms need an upgrade which the room we got re assigned was gorgeous and perfect and really made our stay wonderful! Thank you Staff for easy communication and a wonderful stay.

The view and it was clean.

Not enough electrical outlets, TV didn't work, towels were old thin and faded, the railing on the steps and second floor deck were rotten in places. The parking lot was in bad shape. Our room door was dirty and banged up and looked like it had never been painted. It was not worth the price. The decor was dated. They didn't clean the room unless you asked which we didn't know. The web site said it included breakfast and it didn't. They had a nice little beach.
