Clean and affordable. The breakfast is pretty simple which is fine by me. I’ve been coming to this hotel off and on for a long time now and have not been dissatisfied. Rooms are clean and quiet. It’s also on the side of Richmond that’s active with stores and restaurants.

Not really nothing to dislike about. They’re in the middle of upgrading the hotel so they’re working on updating the rooms and stuff. The pool is still closed but you’re told all of that before you come there.

Pillows were comfy and so was bed, it was nice and quiet also. But the fitted sheet was torn and I really didn’t want the room with jacuzzi. Staff was friendly when we arrived except for morning staff at counter.

Everything. Every time I drive up to Richmond, this place has been like my go to spot for about 4 years. the rooms are nice size and comfortable. The price is great. The rooms are clean. I’ve never had a bad experience with staff. The morning breakfast is good. simple but good. My recent stay there I was put on the 4th floor. They are currently remodeling the property but there was no noise at all. I will continue to make this my goto place to stay when I come up.

the hotel was fairly inexpensive, and in a great location in the middle of town. convenient to get to everything you need.

The sheets were heavily stained, there was rust and mold in the shower. The toilet hardly flushed, and the elevator was very unsteady. the entire floor had a strange chemical smell (probably due to the guest laundry being on that floor)

We didn’t like anything about the property other than the pillows were comfortable.

The staff was not friendly. One was outside on her phone smoking and blew all of the smoke in our face as she walked in. The lobby was leaking when we walked in. The pool was shut down. The elevator was tiny and felt like it was falling every time it stopped. The room was disgusting. The vent cover was full of dust and laying on the back of our toilet. The vent was full of dust. The bed sheets were stained and well as the comforter. The rooms were tiny. Like I said, nothing positive to say.

That it had hot water for showering.

The indoor pool which was one of main reasons for booking was shut down due to maintenance and was not on the website that at the time it wasn't available. The building was very dirty and run down things falling off walls the walls were busted up.

traffic and train noise. depending on whether or not you’re a light sleeper you may wish to have earplugs with you. also, not much on breakfast.

The room was clean and tidy. Very nice. The bed was comfortable and the room temperature was amazing! Felt very comfortable and relaxed

The desk clerk asked for a $150 cash deposit, which she just stuck in a drawer wrapped in my invoice (?). This is a highly unusual practice and very inconvenient. I asked if it could be done on my card and she said ‘no’; it had to be $150 cash. I used the ATM there and was charged $3. I did receive my money back the next morning when I asked, but that was horrible. A cash deposit that was more than the rent of the room is highly unacceptable. I asked a friend from Chicago who used the same hotel to visit me in November and he did not have to pay a cash deposit at all. I suspect that the staff person looked at me and decided to treat me differently. That's all I can come up with. I just had myself and my bag. I don't have any other explanation other than that I was Black. Honestly, I've never been asked for a cash deposit for a room. She was extremely off-putting and had an antiquated demeanor. Would not recommend.
