To enjoy old rustic charm I have to appreciate character. I am spoiled with modern convenience and as soon as I get past that I can appreciate the historical charm of this Inn on a beautiful pond in a historic location. My family's original cottage on Beacon Blvd was exactly this way and I was able to go back in time to the great memories I have when we would walk to Spring Lake and feed the ducks. I loved our stay

Wow what a beautiful place. The lake behind the house was so serene and peaceful. A few blocks away from the beach with beach bages. The front porch had little seating areas. The owner is super sweet. She made sure my husband and I enjoyed our mini 23yr wedding anniversary trip. I will definitely be returning.

The Walden Inn is very charming with lots of nice outdoor seating areas. The pond out back with tables and chairs is calming and lovely. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating.

It was tricky to lock the bedroom door.

The staff on the property are super gracious. They are super helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay at this location again. We loved it!!

The Inn's location is fantastic. Located on an idyllic pond near the beach. The morning's there are very nice with plenty of natural habitat.

The property is run down and not well kept. This is a 3rd tier location for Spring Lake. We have been to Spring Lake many times and know the area well. We had several issues with cleanliness and the quality of the beds. The Inn keeper was responsive after pestering and she did want to assist. It was clear we were not happy and she took actions. We were very thankful for that. But, why did we have to ask and push for some basics? Weirdly, she chose to communicate only through text messages. We spoke to several other quests and received similar feedback. Unfortunately, if the Inn seeks to charge high rates, then it must deliver a quality experience.

Continental breakfast was nicely done. Nice presentation. Plenty of choices.Fresh.

Very pleased with the decor, cleanliness, breakfast, and amenities. Our hostess/owner was attentive, friendly, and made our stay enjoyable. Good location and lovely property. Had a wonderful time.
