Beautiful views. Small but nice appointments

We loved this location! On a ranch but a few amenities around a mile away! The Barn was clean, comfortable and had a great coffee machine. Handy for heading to Bryce Park!

Beautiful views & wonderfully quiet - was lucky to have a few clear nights to really stargaze & attempt some astrophotography. Definitely try to arrive before sunset so you can orient yourself - would not recommend trying to find this place (or your cabin) in the dark. Gordon provided great information & tips in the days ahead of time, plus a binder with helpful info. Wasn't bothered by bugs/mousetraps - you're in the country. Just follow the tips & you'll be fine. Bed was wonderfully comfortable - not too soft as some others have said. Mini-kitchen has all the basics you'd need. It's about 25-30min drive to Bryce Canyon; you also go through Red Canyon to get there - definitely worth a stop.

Upon entering, the cabin had a musty/off-putting odor - either you end up noseblind or opening the windows (keep the screens in place!) helps a bit, but once you return, it's right there again. Not sure if it's the septic system or drains - definitely not from the cattle; that sort of smell I expected but didn't encounter. One of the pillowcases also had some stains that didn't seem like it made its way through laundry.

We liked the log cabin, decor, river view and expansive viewing area.

Very noisy and short cycling HVAC unit; the sound of the dripping shower head was beyond annoying; the grill was missing; the neighbors in the adjacent cabin arrived somewhere around 2:00 a.m. in the morning and awoke us up in a deep sleep. They must have made 10 trips back and forth from the car and at first I thought it was animals on the deck. The view would have been so much more enjoyable if the very close trees practically touching the deck/cabin were removed.
