room was not very clean, could not use bedding, it was dirty. I was provided new sheets though

I liked the proximity to the French Market and other attractions like WWII museum. The third floor room where we got moved too was a life saver. It was quieter and did not have a musty odor.

The first room we stayed in smelled musty. There were no windows at all so there was no way to get rid of the smell. Probably old carpeting. It was also very loud on our second night coming from the back street .

Noisy (I mean, it IS in the French Quarter) - people in the courtyard were kind of obnoxious.

My stay and the cleanest

We booked a two-roomed apartment and it was huge! Full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, full washer/drier. Decor was nice, bedrooms were internal so no noise at all from street. Didn't hear any noise from other rooms etc. Best bit was the free entertainment in the courtyard. We arrived late Saturday evening so the free jazz breakfast on Sunday morning was much appreciated! Monday was a taste of New Orleans in the afternoon which was actually a big plate of free food. Tuesday was cheese and wine and music, again, lots of choice and wine! All the staff were lovely and the hotel is very clean and comfy. Location is fantastic right on the edge of French Quatre but away from the main noise. A few minutes walk from St Charles tram stop and a few minutes from the river, Jackson Sq and steamboat. Would definitely stay here again.
