I love the Myrtles . It's my 4th time to visit the place but first time to stay overnight . The staff were friendly and very helpful . Me and my friends enjoyed the included guided tour of the main house , hanging out and drinking coffee at Elta Coffee and the delicious food during our dinner at the Restaurant 1796. I love the cottage that we stayed in ( caretaker Quarters ) . The decor is nice , beds and pillows are comfortable . We sure had a great time /stay .

Beautiful surroundings and excellent food. We stayed in a freestanding cabin. It was cute and comfortable. Beds were comfy.
Just minor things, such as that the Highway is right there, so you hear the cars, but it didn't bother us. More an fyi for other guests.

Breakfast was good, would have been nice to have fruit, yogurt added to the selection.
We were a little disappointed on the actual location , we didn’t realize the plantation was so close to the main highway, never in any pictures, television, books that I have researched showed this, of course we realized the acreage has been sold over the years, beautiful , relaxing stay . One night stay would have been sufficient for us, instead of two. We took the day and night tours, the girls were exceptional 😊 Lynn the night guardsman just added so much more with his stories and kindness, definitely worth the stay😊will tell family and friends it’s worth a stop over going to New Orleans or surrounding area. Restaurant was great, along with the friendly staff.

Everything! Tasty food, comfortable, spacious accommodation, beautiful setting, interesting tours, friendly staff. Wifi is excellent and works everywhere at the property.
Quite pricy. Breakfast was included, but was not a buffet. We had a choice of a dish from the menu, coffee and orange juice. Was tasty, but a bit small.

The staff was friendly and addressed an issue we had immediately. The grounds are beautiful and there are many other historical sites nearby. The on-site restaurant 1776 was an amazing dining experience.

This place is seeded my expectations. I went there for a paranormal experience, and got more of that than I expected. I was skeptical about ghost, but after staying here I know for a fact they do exist now, if you’re looking for this experience, this is definitely the place these goes to your very friendly and not evil spirits the staff here is amazing

Loved this property!! Such a special experience! The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was authentic plantation food. I did a tour while here which i recommend! Beautiful property.

the only issue was the small queen bed in the room. it’s not more that 160 cm. and for two people wasn’t too comfortable.

very pretty
they didn’t have anyone to help with luggage they didn’t have a luggage cart. When they went to show us where the room was, they walked away and then seemed put out that she had to wait for me, but I just had knee surgery not long ago and she kept having to stop and she would turn around and look like she was upset that it was taking me so long, it was a struggle to get the luggage to the cottage we were staying in

We had a great time at The Myrtles.
We stayed in the JUDGE CLARKE WOODRUFF SUITE. It was so spacious and we also had access to a huge sitting room. There is a private en-suite bathroom. We LOVED the tub. That was a huge bonus.
The bed was comfortable, but a bit creaky. To be expected with an older frame though, so not a problem.
We had a few “spooky” encounters - cabinet doors opening on their own, tapping & footsteps heard at night. It could have been anything, but with the history of this place, it was fun to imagine.

Rooms have very thin walls. Heard conversations until 2am from the next room. Other than that, everything was great.

Excellent accommodation in an historic planation with plenty of fascinating history. Excellent staff, great guided tour, good restaurant. Who doesn't want to spend a night with ghosts?
