This is by far the cleanest and most well prepared property I have stayed at. The owner takes pride in her property and it comes through in the communications and the cleanliness.

Starfish cottage was a lovely, spacious home which was near the beach and an ideal location for our family.
We particular appreciated the variety of rooms as we had both our teenagers and our grown up son and girlfriend stay so the extra bathrooms were appreciated.
Host, home set up and cleanliness were spot on and appreciated the welcome tray on arrival. We would highly recommend Starfish cottage as a place to stay in Cornwall.

Starfish Cottage was a very clean, spacious and comfortable place to stay from which to explore the beautiful beaches and surroundings locally. Everything is there to make for a lovely holiday for a family and the owners are very friendly and responsive. Stair-gates were the only thing missing to make the place more toddler-friendly, as the stairs are steep with no handrail. Having 2 parking spaces was very convenient and we enjoyed the garden. We'd love to return.

Starfish Cottage is an extremely comfortable and spacious house from which to explore Crantock and the surrounding coastline. We are a large family of 6, and it was ideal. Bedroom layouts were great, no queues for the bathroom, a lovely sun-trap of a garden in the back, a handy outside shower to wash off from the beach - it has everything you need for your stay - a real home from home.
Being only a short walk down to the beach meant we were able to go down to the sea every day, and you can also walk into Newquay in approx 40 mins. Crantock has lovely coastal walks in both directions and some very welcoming pubs.
Would highly recommend, we have already booked for next year!

Super surprise rather booked on impulse. Loads of room - teenage son had top floor to self and we had main double room. Still two other rooms (bunk beds and twin beds) if needed so great for larger family. Claire (owner) couldn’t have been more helpful - very welcoming and loads of useful hints - thanks Claire!
Definitely recommend. It’s not absolute luxury or state of art posh but everything you need for a lovely holiday. Definitely would recommend and go again as it worked for us…

Wonderful property. Exceptionally clean and tidy with everything you could possibly need. Communication with the owner was excellent throughout the process and we would definitely return. A beautiful location, a beautiful village and lots of things to do within a short drive.

We had a lovely time at Starfish Cottage. Claire was so helpful before our stay and we were able to explore all the right places during our time in Crantock. We had E xcellent communication throughout, a very clean house and we were extremely lucky with the weather which helped us enjoy our holiday even more. Thank you for the bonus biscuits and bubbly too! Unfortunately our car broke down just as we were due to leave; Claire and Ben were so kind and accommodating, inviting us all back in for a cup of tea, and letting the children watch tv, whilst they were cleaning the property in time for the guests arriving later that day. Much appreciated. We hope to be back next year 😊

The house is much more spacious than what shown on the pictures. Location is ideal, a nice short walk to Crantock beach and short drive to lovely Holywell beach or the famous Fistral Beach. Claire - the host is very responsive and a delight to deal with. The kitchen is well stocked with all cooking utensils, pots, pans and crockery that you need for a large group which we found super helpful unlike other holiday places we stayed before. The view from the top floor is spectacular and the use of many bathroom in the house made it so convenient with the numbers of kids (4) we have with us. We really had a nice and comfortable stay at Starfish cottage.
We would highly recommend this holiday home and would love to return one day!

It was a lovely house, spacious and with everything we needed. The location was great, we walked to the beaches, all over the headlands and also into Newquay. The outside shower was really useful too! Great house for a holiday

Fantastic location in the beautiful village of Crantock for superb beaches, costal walks and local places to eat out all on the doorstep. Starfish cottage is an ideal family holiday property - spacious and with everything we needed. The hot outdoor shower was great after walking back from the beach with bodyboards. Claire was very helpful and always reponded very quickly. Thank you

Good communication with the host. Lovely village. Longer walk to the beach than we expected, but well worth it when we got there. The house is well equipped and very practical for a beach holiday. The warm outdoor shower was a great addition.

We had a great week at star fish cottage. It was a good size for two families with younger Children. 3 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms really makes it easy to share the house. Easy on site parking too. We enjoyed the walk or two min drive in to crantock beach and the kids enjoyed swimming and splashing in the Gannel l day. we also loved travelling the other way down to Polly joke beach and the Bowgie Inn for food ( yum yum). Great to have a cottage with space and choice of two beaches / 3 pubs in close proximity. :)

Good well equipped house with everything you could need for a family holiday including an excellent oven, dishwasher, washing machine and large Freeview TV. Beds very comfy (studio is twins joined together to make a King) and showers are OK. Some sea views from some bedroom windows and lovely countryside vista from the balcony. Failed to find the outdoor hot shower.....!
Crantock beach is walkable (up hill on the way back) in 10 mins but with small children you may want to drive down and drop off/pick up. However car park got very busy with queues on the hill down (poor residents!). Wonderful beach with bathing and paddle boarding on the river as well as surfing. Lifeguards will advise where is safe as there are strong rips and currents. Stunning cliff walks (and seals!) to Polly Joke, Holywell and Fistral beaches. We had such a lovely time exploring it all with our grown up family and their partners. All in all very happy with the accommodation.

Starfish was ideal for us, a pleasant family home from which to explore Crantock and the local area, with the property close enough to walk to the great beach.....my daughter loved the surf here!

Starfish Cottage is spotlessly clean, warm, comfortable and well equipped. The attic bedroom is a pleasure to stay in and has great views. Communication with the owner was excellent. The coastal path is within easy walking distance and Crantock is well placed to explore the Cornish peninsula. We very much enjoyed our holiday.

Fantastic place, spacious, spotless, comfortable, ideal location and just simply wonderful. Excellent communication with the owner, who was very helpful and informative.The cottage is much bigger then we imagined, and the wonderful garden is just fab! The owner provides little extras like washing products, cleaning products, and a lovely welcome gift of a bottle of plonk and lovely ginger biscuits. We have already booked to return next year! The cottage has a wonderful feel to it, warm and welcoming. We are sad to leave this place. A real sanctuary of peace, and tranquility.
