We absolutely loved our stay here. We were a group of 7 and stayed for 6 nights and easily could have stayed here longer. The property owner was very helpful and prompt with responses to any questions prior and during our stay. Having the car was a god send, as the property is a solid 20 minute walk from any convenience store, and not walking distance to main town. It also allowed us to explore parts of the island we wouldn’t have gone otherwise. Despite the house being out of town, it was perfect for us. The house was super spacious, the outdoor area had lots of space to sit outside, eat and go in the pool, there is also a seperate outdoor rooftop space that we used for Pilates in the mornings. The lounge room and kitchen area had plenty of amenities. Two of the beds were very comfy, however the other two were a little bit harder. And all the pillows were different so some were a little uncomfortable. The bathrooms also did get very wet as the shower is open, but that’s pretty common in Asia. Overall our stay was incredible and we would 100% come back, the place doesn’t have many reviews yet, but it does on other booking platforms.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Butterfly Garden Villa. David and his wife were great hosts, providing transportation and information as needed. We enjoyed the beach, which is a 15 minute walk away as well as tours at the Elephant sanctuary, snorkeling boat trip, and so much more.

We stayed at the Villa for 2 weeks. The owner was very helpful and went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. The villa is in a very quite area but only 10 min from Lamai and there is a 7 Eleven and great restaurants only 2 min away by car (which comes with the Villa). The pool area is incredible , the kids loved it and the bedrooms and living space are very spacious and adequate for more than one family sharing the Villa together.We did not like the fact that there was no A/C in the living room and no TVs in the bedrooms and were slightly dissapointed from the local beach, mainly since the mornings low tides push the water too far away.
