1872 Inn - Adults Exclusive

Near perfect 5 star stay. The rooms are equipped with what you would expect at a 5 star property. Mattress and pillows, towels and linens are all obviously higher quality. The coffee maker is easy to use, water and soda in the fridge, luggage racks, hangers, bathroom amenities are all top notch. The mattress and linen quality, and bathroom and shower and attention to detail overall are the highlights. Double rain shower, high ceiling bathroom is akin to any 5 star hotel. The breakfast spread is well thought through and high quality. Milk, yogurt, fruits all stored in a fridge + bananas. Eggs, waffles, potatoes were of good quality. Bold and smooth coffee and a variety of tea bags to choose from. Our check in was smooth and welcoming, the hotel is so quiet and very close to great dining - Shout-out to Hank chop house (great veggie options too). Don't be held back by the fact that the general area (West Yellowstone in general) doesn't scream luxury, but this property does. Totally worth the $$

Honestly like I said, it was near perfect - I'd flag 2 areas for improvement 1. While our check in was super smooth and the staff was so nice, our check out (Sep 28, 11 AM) was odd and choppy and honestly was just unacceptable. There was a different staff at the checkout desk (tall African American gentleman with blond hair - describing him because he either needs to be heavily coached or is not a good cultural fit for this property and needs to work where being a rude aggressive racist jerk is acceptable) who just ruined our final few hours at this otherwise incredible property. Said person refused to give us a single bottle of water and aggressively knocked at our door at 15 min past check out time to 'KICK US OUT' - asking - you getting out or what? Seriously - you are talking to people who usually stay at a St.Regis or Four Seasons. Don't be racist and presumptuous just because we are brown skinned. We picked this place because of slim pickings in the yellow stone area, not because we don't have good taste or can afford a place where we are treated with respect. 2. The walls are crazy thin. It's not a deal breaker but dilutes the 5 star experience.

Location was perfect. Close to Yellowstone Park but also in more quiet part of West Yellowstone. Staff were kind and helpful. Room was beautiful, with gas fireplace, wonderful shower, and comfortable bed. Breakfast had great selection and was perfect start to each day before hiking in the Park. One of my husband and my favorite stays! Highly recommend!

The hotel is near the Park Entrance but far enough away where you don’t see the traffic making it a calm location. It’s also walking distance to the restaurants and gift shops. We walked to the restaurants and gift shops every evening however we did have to use a flashlight once the sun went down. The hotel itself is very quaint with western touches and fireplaces it felt like a modern western home. The room was a perfect size for our stay and felt very comfortable and cozy with the fireplace.

1872 Inn was very clean
