Casa très tranquille, parfait pour passer un séjour sur l'île. Informations d'accès absolument claires, à une dizaine de minutes du port et à quelques minutes la rue principale dont le café Ingrid. Une des plages n'est pas loin non plus et le départ de la randonnée pour les cratères non plus. J'ai été ravis mais triste de ne rester qu'une nuit car il règne vraiment une ambiance très reposante, je reviendrais. Il y avait une cuisine dehors commune, avec du café à disposition, et une salle de bain à côté de la chambre.

Lit un peu trop mou, mais chacun ses préférences.

Giusy e Bartolo sono due persone gentilissime, siamo stati veramente bene a casa loro. La casa ha un giardino bellissimo. Il bagno è esterno e in condivisione con la stanza di fianco, ma non è stato un problema. I proprietari mettono a disposizione una cucina esterna e un frigo.

As a single female this was not a good choice. I travel alone and rarely feel uncomfortable. To start, there are no street lights in Stromboli and this is down an alleyway that has curves where you can’t see around the corner, the houses are all dark and quiet. There are a few abandoned buildings to walk past. If you’re a couple it seems fine, but wouldn’t recommend for a single woman. If you go, bring a torch (flashlight) or head lamp. Furthermore, there is a shared bathroom. There was 1 other couple and me. And it wasn’t enough. If the place was full would have been more than problematic! Additionally, the family lives there with a young boy who likes to bounce his basketball in front of the rented rooms. Granted we are in their home - but if you rent out your home I expect not to be woken up from sleep by this very loud noise ( more than once) Finally, I felt supervised. They were very aware of my coming snd going and the man if the house is home all day. I locked my door to sleep because I was uncomfortable w the proximity and vigilance. Maybe ok if you are a couple… Which leads to another 2 issues. There is only a fan which means the room is suffocating in the summer w the door locked. If there were 2 people sleeping in the room it would have been even worse! Also, I didn’t want to change in the room because the curtain provided to close off the doorway, at night w the light on, didn’t provide enough privacy to make it possible. If someone happened to be in front of the door they could easily see in. Also, as mentioned, there was only 1 couple besides me. But only 1one 2-cup espresso maker. So if the couple made themselves coffee at their table for breakfast, it meant I would have to wait until they were finished (maybe 30 minutes later?) to have access to make myself coffee. Or go in town. I know the islanders depend on tourism, BUT, there is a difference between rustic and uncomfortable!!
