Poggio Hotel

Poggio Hotel was one of the most pleasant stops of our road trip. It is particularly convenient for travellers arriving by car. The parking is excellent: guests staying on the ground floor can park very close to their rooms, while the underground parking for the upper floors is modern, spacious, well lit and directly connected to the hotel by lift. The staff were exceptionally friendly throughout our stay. From check-in to check-out, everyone treated us in a warm and genuinely welcoming way, almost as if we were friends rather than simply hotel guests. At the same time, everything was explained clearly and efficiently. Our room was modern, comfortable and very well designed, with panoramic windows, a balcony, a very comfortable bed and an excellent bathroom and shower. The overall standard felt very good even by European hotel standards. We also really enjoyed the outdoor swimming pool. Having an aperitif by the pool, accompanied by small snacks and bruschetta, was a lovely way to relax after the drive. The hotel restaurant was also a pleasant surprise. We had dinner there and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and very tasty Italian-style food. The night was quiet and restful, and the breakfast the next morning was very good. It is self-service, but well organised and offers a good selection of cereals, muesli, croissants, cold cuts, eggs and different types of coffee. As someone who particularly appreciates a good espresso, I was very happy with the coffee. We also enjoyed the location. In the morning we walked into Arenzano and found it to be a charming and very pleasant town to explore. Overall, the combination of comfortable rooms, excellent parking, good facilities and genuinely friendly staff makes this a particularly good place to stop when travelling along the Ligurian coast.

Nothing significant to mention. Our stay was comfortable and very pleasant from arrival to departure.

Frühstück: Das Frühstück war in Ordnung, aber leider nicht besonders reichhaltig. Es entsprach eher dem minimalistischen Standard, den man aus fast allen europäischen Ländern kennt, und bot wenig Abwechslung. Satt wird man zwar, aber ein Highlight war es nicht. Parkplatz: Das Hotel verfügt zwar über einen Parkplatz unter Deck (überdacht), allerdings ist dieser extrem eng gebaut. Wegen des offensichtlichen Platzmangels wurde hier jeder Zentimeter für die einzelnen Autos ausgenutzt. Das Ein- und Ausparken sowie das Rangieren erfordern definitiv etwas Geduld und Fingerspitzengefühl.

Wir haben an diesem Aufenthalt im Großen und Ganzen nichts auszusetzen und würden dieses Hotel für unsere nächste Reise an diesen Ort ohne weiteres nochmals buchen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis hat gestimmt, und der Aufenthalt war insgesamt sehr angenehm und unkompliziert.

It was a delightful hotel with quick and easy access to the Autostrada.

There was nothing that I disliked.
