I had a confirmed booking, but the hotel rejected to give me a room. I was stuck on the street at mid night with no room.

The foreign staff was pleasant, not so much the Saudis. Other guests were nice, both Saudi and foreign. The food wasn’t terrible and its presentation was great. A relaxed ambiance around the hotel with mostly quiet guests.

One of the staff working at the reception had horrible customer service skills. He didn’t greet me when I greeted him, didn’t let me know it was my turn to come up to the desk once he was done with guests before me, allowing for guests behind me to jump in line in front of me. He’d take calls and help other guests in the middle of helping me, making me wait a long time before being serviced. Did not enjoy our interactions at all. The shower water was cold, the shower overflowed because the drain was clogged. Not the cleanest room. My room cards stopped working often. After coming back to the hotel in the evening, someone from the staff (a Saudi man of course) followed me to the elevator to make sure I was a guest (i.e., that I had a working card to operate the elevator). This made me uncomfortable. Could not get ahold of the 24/7 room service and had to call the front desk every time. The room was smaller than I expected and very unexceptional.
