Quiet island getaway - perfect place if you want to get away from the crowds! Felt like we had our own private beach. Husband loved the fishing!

Exactly as advertised and very quiet area of the island. Our 14 year old son spent a lot of time fishing off the dock and actually caught fish (which hasn’t always been the case at other locations). We also saw a manatee swim by the dock! Although not expected, it was nice to have some basic household items like Clorox wipes, toilet paper, dishwasher tabs, etc available which was the case here. The outside entertainment area with flat screen TV and fire pit was amazing and we spent many nights out there watching the NBA playoffs. Teri was extremely responsive anytime I had a question, which was also greatly appreciated!

The house and island were the perfect getaway for our family of 4. We couldn’t get the boys out of the pool! The house was super clean. It was also spacious enough for us all to be together or have time alone with the option of the second floor living space, the screened in porch or below the house. We rented a golf cart during our stay and when it died while at the beach Teri was super responsive. She contacted her friend on the island to come pick us up and then followed up the next day to make sure the golf cart issue was resolved. Great people!!

Very nice home and property to decompress. Can only be reached by ferry boat. Beach is a short car/golf cart ride away and quiet. Sunrise and coffee on the deck in the mornings are pretty nice! Thanks for sharing your home.

We loved One More Day - great setting and wonderful hosts. The pool was amazing, the beds very comfortable, and the kitchen well stocked. We were the first guests after the hurricane damage and some work was still to be done, but the property is truly a gem. The owners take great pride in their home and are exceptionally pleasant and responsive. We rented a golf cart to get to the beach which is much easier than walking. We also buy the 5-trip ferry pass each time we come to the island so we can go out to eat and grocery shop without paying each time, and it saves a little money. Don't hesitate . . . :-)

Thank you Teri. We really enjoyed our short vacation at your house. The location was very peaceful and we enjoyed the island. The house was exactly as described. The house was clean and inviting. We enjoyed Kayaking, fishing, pool, beach, and the island life was the change of pace we needed. I would recommend to anyone wanting to get away.

Enjoyed a six night stay at this property with my family. We spent time fishing from the dock, kayaking, paddle boarding and collecting sharks teeth and shells on the beach. In the evening we rode around the island on a rented golf cart and headed to the beach to watch the sun set. Property owner was easy to reach and extremely responsive when we had a question. We enjoyed our stay!

This is a great place to unplug and spend quality time together as a family! Teri was super prompt in all communications and the house was just as described. This was the first house we rented where the master bed was just as comfortable as our bed at home! It was so nice to get good sleep while on vacation instead of having the "I can't wait to sleep in our own beds" feeling. Plenty of thick, lush towels were also provided and they were great quality which was also nice compared to some thin/cheap ones we've had before at other rentals. I also appreciate the fridge having working water & ice so we didn't have to use sink water or bring a ton of water bottles. There were so many little details throughout that we appreciated! Great house, great fishing, great pool and it's nice that some people could be fishing and you could see what they reeled in from the pool without having to get out. Lots of snook by the dock and we were able to catch some which our boys loved. The island is low key, but there is one restaurant and one ice cream shop. Once we explored the island we were super happy we chose this rental. It is one of the few houses with a private pool and is in such a great location. Can't say enough about the house or the host! This home was so great to stay in. We enjoyed the very nice dock, pool area and outdoor TV! The yard was very private and peaceful. We definitely would rent this home again!

The House was ready when we arrived, everything looked exactly as pictured on the VRBO site. There were plenty of towels and kitchen items available, the only thing that we were missing was the Keurig coffee maker, but they did have a regular Mr. coffee that worked just fine. The views were beautiful, the bed was very comfortable, great water pressure in the shower, all the comforts of home including dishwasher, washer dryer, heated swimming pool, large stainless steel double door refrigerator freezer. To get from the main floor up to the extra bedrooms there is a spiral staircase. Just something to be aware of if older adults are using the upstairs area in addition to the main floor master suite. There were golf carts on the property however not available to us, so we rented one for $65 a day at Coconuts. One thing we discovered was no automotive vehicles are allowed to go to Coconuts or Rum Bay restaurant. It is because it is located on the palm island resort property and they do not allow vehicles other than golf carts on the property. I highly recommend getting a golf cart it’s worth it, as you can see so much more of the island this way. The check in book offered a few hints and tips to make your stay more enjoyable. Teri kept in touch with me via the Vrbo app, which made communication much easier. It’s a beautiful location for relaxation as a couple or for an entire family as there was many activities to do and plenty of space to do them in.

One more day had everything we needed. My son fished every morning and my daughter swam all day long! The beach was close enough that we could come and go! Stock up on groceries before you hit the ferry!

Pool is very nice and enjoyable after a day at beach or boating. No canals to traverse, you are right on the ICW. Enjoy the decks to watch the boats and wildlife. Finally, you will never have a better and more responsive host than at this property.

Location and host are both amazing. But the house is old and tired. Lots of deferred maintenance. Just not up to our expectations. Downstairs bedroom and bath are tiny. The only way upstairs is a spiral staircase that is difficult for a healthy person who is in shape. Impossible to safely get a large suitcase upstairs. I hate leaving this review because the host was so nice but we would not stay there again.

One More Day was such an awesome place to stay, we wish we would have booked for longer. Clean, quiet, pool was perfect, and really enjoyed watching the boats in the bay. Highly recommend this home !!

We just returned from our stay at "One More Day" on Palm Island. The house was very comfortable and clean. The sun room with the picnic table was a very popular spot for meals and to hang out reading or playing games. The heated pool is a great addition which came in handy for those marginal weather days. The house also has a new side by side refrigerator with water and ice dispenser. It was great for storing our weeks worth of food and treats. The house is situated on a very private and quiet lot. There is a kettle style grill on ground level for some great charcoal grilling. We got 4 grilled dinners out of 1 large bag of charcoal with some left over. The beach is an easy walk if you're not traveling with gear or children. Otherwise you'll probably want to rent a golf cart. We enjoyed walking more and taking in the scenery. If you do rent a cart there are lots of different beach access points along S. Gulf and N. Gulf. So don't limit yourself to always going to the same one. If you've never vacationed on Palm Island you don't want to miss the experience. With no bridge to the island, here's your chance to see some "Old Florida" . Beach houses on shell roads along unspoiled beaches... like it was meant to be!

Cute island cottage! Kitchen could use full size coffeemaker and larger size pots with lids (only 1 four quart pot available). Bed in master bedroom very comfortable. Plenty of towels and beach towels available. Hoping for a longer stay next year!

Looking for a slow paced vacation, this is the place! We brought our boat the dock was perfect, easy to access and protect by mangroves. The pool being heated was perfect for our January visit. We rode the bikes a short 5 minute ride every evening to watch the sunset plus toured the island. Make sure you bring all your provisions so you do not have to go to the mainland. Only negative was the bed was very small but we it was comfortable.
